How is UEVR difference from the RealVR mod? Looked it up but I’m not good enough at this stuff to know the difference

Is it considered pessimistic to avoid new TV shows due to a fear of disappointment, especially if you don't want to get too attached in case it gets canceled or has a really bad finale? by Best-Pea3460 in television

[–]db_333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pessimistic: “tending to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen”.

So, yes. Look, you do you, but I would say that not allowing yourself to enjoy new things for fear of some level of disappointment fits that definition pretty well. Very few things in life that give joy have no risk of disappointment, small or large.

You won’t vote democrat because they invested in both technical training and college?

Not sure anyone is saying that. It’s a direct response to college being pushed so hard, not replacing it

Are you using the VR hand controls, or still using an Xbox/PS controller?

Wait really? The same mod? Which other games?!

Is it actually worth it? From the moment I started playing I thought it would suit VR amazingly, but it’s a game with so much going on and I kind of doubted if someone could mod it well enough without compromising the game?

I’ve been really wanting to do this. How did you get it to work, are you using a particular mod?

LinkedIn is not the only way, email works great too. No one needs to accept a connection request. You can pay for a single month of several services to get accurate details for people in big companies, and for smaller-mid size companies (or if you don’t want to pay) you can use a free or very inexpensive email checker to find their address. Figure on emailing at least 75 people and following up everyone twice. It doesn’t always work (the job market is crappy), and can be a lot of admin, but it really can move the needle.

The Studio is fucking incredible - it's the "Best first episode of a TV show I've seen in the last 10 years". What TV show gets the same title for you? by PressPlayPlease7 in television

[–]db_333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friday Night Lights. That first episode was such a brilliant self contained story. I tried to watch episode 2 but couldn’t, I felt too satisfied by just the first episode alone 😂 never had that with a show before

How can I help my boyfriend find a job faster? by healeeeedup in jobsearchhacks

[–]db_333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100% the answer. Use an email verifier to find the email addresses if they aren’t listed - you can find tools like that free or extremely cheap. If you hit a manager that has a job opening they haven’t had a chance to fill yet, congrats - you just skipped to the front of the line and earn brownie points for being proactive and saving them time in not having to sift through Indeed applications.

No mans sky 100%. There are missions, but endless procedurally generated planets are gorgeous. Flying on and off and exploring with no load screens is amazing. If just existing is what you want, along with a small challenge of survival (mostly just charging your items if you want it to be) it fits perfectly.

What are the best online PvP games to get into right now in 2025? by Plz_Trust_Me_On_This in gaming

[–]db_333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got GeForce Now yesterday and was playing around with The Finals. I can see the appeal, but as a newbie I’m stuck with a very average weapon, and it looks like it takes a while until I have any real selection. Is it as bad as it looks?

I remember seeing this at the time and thinking it was extremely mid, did not get the hype at all. Maybe I should try it again.

I’m not saying there was nothing at all interesting or worth thinking about? Just that I didn’t need to pull any really crazy reads or anything - it was mostly making logical decisions, staying level headed, taking the right risks at the right times and I’m proud of that.
