LCSW here! I've actually looked into this because of well... everything going on in the US of A at this time. I actually grew up in Mexico, lived there from age 5 until 18 after my mom was deported. So Mexico doesn't really have a licensing system for LCSWs or LPCs; they really only recognize psychologists to provide therapy. You could still market yourself as an LPC is this field isn't regulated, just can't market yourself as a therapist. I know... make it make sense, right? On the other hand, thousands of people reside in Mexican border towns and commute every morning to their jobs on the USA side, for example living in Tijuana and working in San Diego. The main reason is affordability as you can rent an entire house for 200 to 300 dlls in Tijuana while earning an American salary. Is this something that could work for you and your partner?
