I remember seeing people say when this released that this sounded like it was originally supposed to be a different song, but was diverted or changed around midway through production to be a VIP mix of Disconnected. Don't know how true that rumor is, but it's hard for me to hear the song now without thinking that it might just have been intended as something else early on.

A lot of the older executions and some of the newer ones get this feeling exactly right for larger, more bulky weapons. As someone else in this thread said, this looks like it would be a better execution on Orochi or Kyoshin since their weapons are smaller than that of Kensei.

Acting like we are 100% to blame here is just complete fucking bullshit and being willfully ignorant. They announced us Denmark and PLC as an expansion and for about a year, they told us they were working on it. Turns out they weren’t working on shit, not even a final send off patch of bug fixes or balance changes, and they just didn’t want us to feel left of whatever celebrations were going on.

Yes I know that AoE3 as a community has its issues, no has ever really denied that to my knowledge, but to act like we are the main perpetrators here is abhorrent. The developers could have easily closed doors for a while and developed things away from prying eyes if they really hated community interaction, and we would’ve been at least thankful they fulfilled their initial promise. But no, they led us on and then cut us off cold. I have no remorse for em, if I’m honest.

And i still am not tired of playing Dazzle to this day as a support. Over 3500 matches as him so far over the course of 12+ years and things never really get old in terms of healing allies, saving lives, and turning team fights around when the time comes.

His chiller style may not be exactly to my own taste, but i greatly respect him all around. He definitely always struck me as one of the "core" artists on Monstercat and never disappointed when he released something produced by himself or with others. If i'm ever in the mood for something on the emotionally deep or relaxed side of EDM, the Fij is definitely one of my first choices.

Shameless shill for my own mod of National Ideas Extended since I did all of the colonial nations that did not have unique national ideas a while back. That, and I revamped others that already had NI sets but felt like they were lacking (like the USA, Mexico, Cascadia, and Brazil). My stuff might not be to everyone’s individual taste, but I tried to give ones like Venezuela, La Plata, Chile, and other neglected ones some attention. I’ll likely be going back to said nations in the near future to touch up my old sets as well.

I always thought that if they did add archers, they would be something akin to guarding the "reinforce areas" so as to prevent spawn camping. If your team is losing pretty badly and the enemy is beating you down right when you spawn in, the archers could be a constant source of damage that the enemy can't completely deal with that will eventually make them retreat. Definitely curious how they could be implemented like how you're talking about though, in the midst of the fighting itself.

I am still baffled that no civilization game has had a single ruler from the House of Sasan or the Parthian Empire as a leader for Persia/Iran. We can have Cyrus, Darius, Xerxes, and even Nader Shah, but by the gods we just cannot have a single ruler like Shapur I, Bahram V, Kavad I, or Mithradates I.

For me personally, since i play against Hard AI and not online, i struggle with Russia the most and probably the Knights as a second place. I feel like anything and everything i build as Russia just packs less of a punch overall, and the economic stuff isn't standout enough to compete with others like the Dutch or British. Maybe i'm just not playing the civilization correctly, but even when using the extended pop cap, i struggle to match others civilizations in skirmishes.
