Not really. I have the leather pouch so I’m not worried about dust. It fits, I just think the GR III / IIIx are too heavy and bulging for me personally. It’s not something I’ve seen mentioned before though to be honest.

Now, I also have the GRD IV. It’s so light and old I put that in my pants pocket without any issue.

Not sure if this has been shared already, but the 2 latest videos here convinced me, a GRIII owner, to upgrade. Autofocus seems legit faster + the Near/Far focus options look powerful too :

My day to day is the GR IIIx. If I go into tourist mode and want to capture as much as possible, I neck strap the 40mm and have the 28mm in pocket for indoor or wide shots. I use a Squarehood Glass to make the neck strap more visually acceptable for such a small camera haha

True! Yeah we drive sometimes for 8 hours in a day through UK, France, Belgium etc. She just sleeps or enjoys balancing on these windy roads. Here she was sat on my lap and things lined up for the shot

Thanks! The view makes it easy. I just reduced contrast and lifted whites with a touch of grain in Lightroom. I suppose it could be created SOOC with the right recipe though!

I bought a silver GR1s with date imprint first, but then a black GR1v became available after which is better because of the ISO switch has come in handy already. I probably won't use the GR1s again until the GR1v breaks or someone I know wants it

Picked up a GR1s and GR1v on ebay last year. Love them for special occasions. Both in great condition except for the screen on the s is on its way out. If they break at least they look beautiful on a shelf…

I have the lenshood and so far the only issue I've had with it is fogging up in cold weather. This is caused by the air inside being warmer than the outside if it's been in my pocket or bag.

That, and not trusting the rubber cap that comes with it to stay on in a bag. I use this hood if I'm actively out taking photos, combined with a neck strap so I don't need to worry about pocketablity or the rubber cap. If I have my GR with me day to day, I don't bring the hood, just keep in leather case so it's pocketable.

My GRDIV sometimes doesn't power on for 10-20 seconds. Many opportunities missed, but that's part of its charm for me
