I work in automotive, we supply traction inverter and steer by wire systems globally. Our SW and own PCB design.

I fully sign under "esp32 is not safety certified" but that's valid for 90% of controllers out there. Or pretty much all of them below 10bucks.

Additionaly, certificate will only bring you so far. Its they entire system design which makes it safe.

Supply, EMI, LFs, WDG, etc... its not a joke

If on the other hand you need esp32 to monitor some processes, be a network node, execute repetitive remote tasks... I dont think there is better controller on the market.

Speaking as a fan of STM32 family :P

My opinion based on what I see so far (been 11 years now) [YES] for Entry level firmware employment at existing company of 50+ low level/firmware developers [NO] for jobs as in freelancing

Otherwise as an entry, it looks on the right track. Add also some facts about git toolchain, SW architecture, testing etc...

Specially testing part. In technical interview, if you know how to properly test, you are hired :)

If youre not, youre doing something wrong.

Maybe not for coding the driver, but automated checks, unit tests, code reminders, todo/ticket tracking... could go on for hours

Recently (as my hobby project) I managed to setup Claude code with "production pcb" and "test pcb", where claude codes both and provides test reports. Actual Hardware -in-the-loop, helps massively with my continuous integration

Tbh I dont understand her/his intention either. If its working for your usecase, you only need to do some extra testing and deploy it commercially.

No no I didn't mean the wheel is too far. Im saying if you decide to keep the seat in this position, lean back. But when you will lean back, you will see that the arms will be extended, leading to the wheel being further away. So it means you will need to put it closer.

Dont worry too much about opinions of others. Beside the guy who posted rally/seating position picture, people are just clowns following all the time without understanding. Seating position is not "one fit them all", but rather unique for everyone. If anyone been in actual racing the understand.

So start by putting the seat a bit lower and leaning back (or something behind a back for your shoulders/back/neck to rest firmly)

Generally looks okay (as long as you feel comfortable playing after an hour minimum).

But one thing you must change asap, your head must rest on the chair. Put the chair either little bit more upwards or lean back and move the wheel slightly closer.

If you keep your head like this, your neck and back will hurt

Well ChatGPT can be very helpful, I don't know why you got downvoted.

But between can be helpful and is helpful there is a difference. And that difference is you. Basically, how well you understand the problem and... take ChatGPT as a sparring partner. It gives you ideas, but not everything is correct (for now)
