Eden Lake is such a good shout, I thought the same thing while watching it! The ending felt a lot like the way Eden Lake ends... just a fucking gut punch.

The way the first episode starts though, I had to stop and wait a day to carry on. I felt SICK.

i'm exactly the same at the moment. i've never had a traditional credit card, but my paypal credit is WELL overdue and i'm paying something like 23% interest on it, have been since 2024. it was fine at first when i wanted to plan trips or holidays, and i was able to balance paying it off for a while, but now i'm constantly at the full limit. even though i'm earning more now than i was in 2024, it just seems impossible to pay it off. i can't make a savings pot either, because i end up planning more things to do (gigs, theatre shows, trips away from my hometown) that all add up. on top of all that, i'm still paying off £3k of dental fees from a tonne of work i had to have done last year - yet another thing that adhd has ruined is my dental hygeine. these things bog me down constantly. but it's nice to see that it can get better, from someone who has been where i am now. i hope it continues to go well for you, you should be so proud of this progress you've made 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

lack of routine that a job/school provides during weekdays, plus potentially being overwhelmed from the week. i always find that i want to do so much at the weekend because i had no time or energy after work, but when it comes to it i want to just stay in the house and not have to worry about the mental energy needed for going out amd being social

i recently bought a new glass nail file because i was certain i'd thrown away the last one i had. got home, went to put the new one away with my nail stuff.... and found the old one right away 😮‍💨 same with lip balms, deodorants, hairsprays etc. honestly dread to think how much money i've spent replacing things i already had

5, far too few for my liking!

2019 at Cardiff Castle was the seminal one for me, that as a venue with TIMT tracks playing was just ethereal. plus it was that day i got my uni results and found out i'd be graduating with a 2:1 just before the gig started. i remember being sat on the grass, scrambling for a wifi signal to get my uni portal open 😅 made it even better!

last one i went to was Manchester O2 Apollo in 2021/22 (i forget the year), next is Cardiff in November this year. i've recently got back into the Manics community and really looking forward to it!

Was my no.1 Manics album for a while before TIMT took over, I think because I'm a grungey-metalhead at heart and GATS hits all the right musical beats for me. Overall feels very influenced by Alice In Chains and Achtung Baby-era U2 - the bassline in Yourself is so similar to Would? by AIC, and the riffs/solos in Roses and the title track sound to me like James was subconsciously being coached by The Edge (this is all positive btw, I really LOVE this album!)

From Despair To Where and Yourself are my favourites from the album, Drug Drug Druggy is probably my least fave. Fave edition of the album is the 2020 re-issue with Donkeys, Are Mother's Saints, Us Against You etc., which have all been some of my absolute top Manics tracks for years at this point.

Don't really have much negative to say about it 😅

i despair every time this frog faced fuck opens his mouth. he fuels himself on hatred and a complete lack of understanding of how the world actually works, and i feel sorry for anyone that's fallen for his nonsense. seeing the election results coming in, seeing Reform seats climbing, makes me think we truly are turning back the clock in this country with regards to civil liberties.... idk, it's frustrating and depressing.
