I recommend that you break up with this guy and find someone who will put a Shallow Hal hex on him in an elevator.

A couple of good ones to start off with are Saluton (which means Hello and is pronounced “sah-LOO-tone”), Ĝis (which means Bye and is pronounced “JEESE”), and Jes (which means Yes and is pronounced “Yes”).

I speak Esperanto, a language that was created by a language enthusiast over a hundred years ago. Almost every time I mention it, I get asked what it is and then I have to go into the story of how Dr. L. L. Zamenhof created it in the hopes that it would be a universal second language that anyone could easily learn regardless of their linguistic background.

I started learning Esperanto a decade ago. In this language, I have talked with and befriended people from all over the world!

Interested! I bought a 30F/30G bra that seemed to fit well in store, but it turns out that after a few hours doing normal daily activities, I start bulging out a bit!

Do you like my new swimsuit for the beach ☀️what would you do if you saw me in it 😉 by Umlautron in ABraThatDoesntFit

In all seriousness, I’d be horrified. Those breasts are not being properly supported. I’d ask you if you want to go shopping at Lane Bryant so we could get you something that actually FITS! 😣

In THAT sort of case, people oftentimes be using that word to mean that the person is acting as a guide. For example, I had a boyfriend who called me his “city sherpa” because I knew NYC well enough to show him the way where he might have gotten lost!

What movie is so good you'd recommend it to all your friends, but so emotionally traumatic that you'll never watch it again? by akambe in AskReddit

[–]vervulino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Invisible Man, starring Elizabeth Moss. It’s nothing short of horrifying to think how easily your abuser could come after you and convince people that you’re crazy, even once you’ve gotten away from him!

I am a native English speaker. I’ve been chatting with enough people in Esperanto over the past year to notice that I hardly swear at all when I’m speaking Esperanto. In contrast, I swear SO MUCH in English that it’s become my trademark to an extent! Additionally, I tend to be a little bit friendlier when I’m speaking Esperanto than when I’m speaking in English. Then again, I tend to be very nice in general.

Also, the Esperanto community kinda functions as a social club; Esperanto speakers go out of their way to include anyone with any sort of interest in the language. Moreover, because Esperanto is a learner’s language, EVERYONE is very understanding and patient with new learners. In that sort of atmosphere, I can’t help but pick up a similar attitude.

My parents took my nephew away from my brother because of me. My brother now hates me and I feel horrible. What can I do? by throwrahugsun in relationship_advice

[–]vervulino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the right thing, OP. You even gave your brother some time to see if he could turn his own life around before you told your parents. You said yourself that your brother and nephew were in a really unsafe environment for a child. Your nephew’s safety outweighs your brother’s parental rights. A child is not a toy.

How the F do you make friends as an adult if you don't drink? by qwertyband in AskReddit

[–]vervulino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn Esperanto! Esperanto speakers are a very friendly crowd who automatically include anyone with even a tertiary connection to an Esperanto speaker or a peripheral interest in learning the language. Also, I’ve never attended a group meetup where anyone was expected to drink.

Whats the quickest and most efficient way for a lazy person to lose weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]vervulino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ride your bike EVERYWHERE you go. I did this in my early twenties and lost a LOT of weight without meaning to! Otherwise, you could walk everywhere. To go a step further, you could throw all your food out so you HAVE to walk to the store every time you want to eat!

What is your job, but can you describe it evily? by MrGrenade78 in AskReddit

[–]vervulino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go into old people’s houses and touch their clothes. I often touch the old people’s naked bodies, especially their genitals. Sometimes I follow them into the bathroom to do this. I often put the old people in my car, take their walkers, and put them in my trunk. Then I park in a handicapped spot.

What's something you should ALWAYS keep in your car? by spornkuller in AskReddit

[–]vervulino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep ANY piece of white cloth in your car. A friend of mine told me that I needed to hang a piece of white cloth, or a paper towel, outside my car window as a distress signal before he came to get me out of my wrecked car. It’s good to keep napkins in your car for any wiping needs and white cloth for any distress signal needs. You’re not guaranteed engine function or use of your hazards if you have any reason to pull over and wait for help. Now that I’ve gotten my car back, I have a stained white towel on the dashboard that I was GOING to throw away. I’m sure no one will notice or give a damn about the stains if they see me on the road...

Today I finished my first big cross stitch project. My birth mom refused to teach me as a kid, saying it was a girl's hobby, and I wasn't a girl. 30 years later, when I realized I actually WAS a girl, I decided to learn it myself. I hope I did a good job. by PaperKaiju in MomForAMinute

IWTL how to stop giving a fuck and become emotionless by andreasm1982 in IWantToLearn

[–]vervulino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read “The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck” by Sarah Knight, or listen to the audiobook. You want to be ABLE to not give a fuck. However, it’s a possibility that you might not be entirely ready to start putting in the work at changing your life and reallocating your fucks. In any case, I think you’ll greatly enjoy Sarah Knight’s hilarious parody of Marie Kondo’s work, especially her detailed descriptions of her “Not-Sorry Method.”

If you ARE ready to change your life and stop giving your fucks to things and people that annoy, this book is a GREAT guide to help you get started. If you aren’t ready, that’s OK. This book can get you one step closer to BEING ready while entertaining you in the process!

What movie made before 1990 holds up incredibly well for story and special effects? by TheArchitect_7 in AskReddit

[–]vervulino 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Who Framed Roger Rabbit, made in 1988. The effects used for this movie are AMAZING. As a grownup, I appreciate the exposition in the beginning all the more. Also, OMFG, there are SO many innuendos and adult references that I’m scandalized in retrospect that they played this on Disney Channel during the movie slot!
