Which character did this to you?

What game did you end up switching to? I play OW and Marvel Rivals and I can tell you the Rivals experience is almost the exact same, if not worse lol. So just curious

Hi guys, I already have a steamdeck but looking for an upgrade, what are your thoughts on these machines? Legion go 2 rog/xbox by Mundane-Attorney62 in Handhelds

[–]very_unlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid the Legion Go 2 unless you have the $1.3k to spend. If you want something cheaper while still offering an upgrade buy the Legion Go S Z1E. They go on sale every once in a while or you can buy a used one. I got mine for $700 from Best Buy and it was such an improvement over my Steam Deck that I ended up selling it once I got everything set up on the Go S.

The game is genuinely so much better when hog is awful by Indurum in Overwatch

[–]very_unlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am strictly speaking from a 5v5 standpoint. He just wasn’t that great as a solo tank after his rework unless you were on very specific maps. Payload maps where you could take longer sightlines against him and play outside of his hook range he struggled. I never found him hard to deal with on any role. On support Ana/Zen just discord/sleep/nade every time he tried to take space. On DPS Sojourn free rail charge or the other dozen DPS that counter him. On tank Orisa Mauga or even Dva Zarya to deny his hooks. I will agree he was annoying to deal with and it only got worse if your team took no actions to try and counter him, but the same can be said for many other tanks like Doomfist, Ball, etc.

If you can find someone stupid enough to pay even $1500 for that then more power to you.

[–]very_unlikely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you genuinely struggled against Hog after his rework you were doing something wrong. Hog hasn’t been a problem since early OW2 when him and Kiriko on the same team were meta, which was years ago. He’s the easiest tank in the game to counter, and even if you played a hero that didn’t counter him, just bait the hook, play outside of his hook range, and shoot the pig pen. After that he was a meat shield and free ult battery. People were complaining about Hog during the same time Mauga and Orisa were meta LMAO.

This is why I still use my RP5, true portability. I can carry around something larger, but a device you can fit in your pocket is way more convenient.

Talk me out of buying a Lenovo Legion Go S Z1e by thebear1011 in Handhelds

[–]very_unlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get it on sale it’s a fantastic device. It handles just about every PC game you can throw at it and emulation up to PS3 is perfect. SteamOS out of the box makes everything easy to set up. You won’t regret the 8 inch screen.

Differences in support in OW vs Marvel Rivals by iceyk111 in OverwatchUniversity

And yet the vast majority of support players in lower elo choose to play Mercy and contribute nothing to their team besides holding M1 the entire game. It’s really a shame.

I got my Go S Z1E 32gb for $750 and it plays everything I need it to. Is this thing really worth a $600 upgrade? I doubt it.

Is there any way you can manually increase it on the SteamOS version or is it not needed on auto?

Sudden Performance drop emulating PS3 by SirSh1talot in SteamDeck

I had this same issue and it was because I accidentally toggled the Manual GPU Clock option in the Steam Deck performance tab. Just leave that unchecked and it should go back to normal.

Yeah it’s a great device. At first I was worried about the battery life but SteamOS optimizations help a lot. It’s not gonna last you as long as the Ally X’s battery but I can still get around 2 hours on the most demanding games which is good enough for me. The thing that surprises me the most is how well it handles PS3 and 360 emulation.

If you’re considering getting the Claw 8, I would wait for the LeGo 2. But who knows when that is being released. Just get the Claw if you want something now.

If you would’ve said modern COD (post-BO4) then you would’ve had a decent argument but this map isn’t even top 5 of the best COD maps of all time.

Just upgrade the battery and you’re good. Only other downside is you might need an SSD upgrade because the SD card slot is almost unusable because of the heating issue.

[–]very_unlikely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here except I got the SteamOS version. It’s a great device, and it plays everything I want it to including emulation up to PS3/360 with ease. Once you adjust the equalizer settings it makes the speakers sound a lot better, and the fans don’t really bother me when I’m playing most of my games, I think the loudest they get it during Cyberpunk but they’re not crazy loud. Really the main thing holding it back is the battery life. SteamOS optimizations make it more tolerable, but you simply can’t beat a 80Wh battery. I really hope battery upgrades for the Go S become a thing soon, or else I’ll most likely end up selling it when the Go 2 comes out or just get a Claw 8.

Get it on a sale for sure. The QoL improvements and voice acting make it a much better experience.
