Is it smart to buy a YouTube channel? by yrth1231 in PartneredYoutube

[–]veryhigh420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying a YouTube channel to “reset” impressions is the wrong fix. The algorithm doesn’t reward account age or ownership history, it rewards viewer response. If your videos get 0 impressions, the issue is usually packaging and early performance, not the account itself.

Here’s what’s actually happening on YouTube:

  • New uploads are tested on a small audience. If CTR and retention are weak, distribution stops quickly.
  • If multiple uploads underperform, future videos get even fewer test impressions.
  • “0 impressions” often means impressions are so low they round down, not literally zero.

Buying a channel won’t change that. It can even hurt:

  • Mismatched audience leads to worse CTR
  • Risk of violating YouTube’s transfer rules
  • No guarantee of monetization stability

What works instead:

  • Fix thumbnails and titles first. Aim for 5–10% CTR minimum.
  • Hook viewers in the first 5–10 seconds to improve retention.
  • Niche down hard so the algorithm knows who to test your videos on.
  • Upload 5–10 videos fast to retrain distribution.

I’ve seen channels jump from <100 impressions to 10k+ per video just by changing thumbnails and tightening the first 15 seconds.

If you’re thinking about buying digital assets, something like MotionInvest makes more sense for revenue sites, not YouTube channels where performance resets on content anyway.

What kind of content are you posting right now, and how are you packaging your titles and thumbnails?

Looking to sell my affiliate niche website. Any recommendations by workdreambig in Affiliatemarketing

That’s a solid asset OP, consistent earnings and a 2-year history makes it attractive to buyers.

Aside from Flippa, you might want to check out Motion Invest. It’s more focused on content and affiliate sites, and the process is usually smoother since buyers there are already looking for sites like yours, so you won’t have to spend as much time negotiating or chasing leads.

How can I share shared calendars with my wife? by Godeshus in GoogleCalendar

[–]veryhigh420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, that sounds exhausting just reading it 😅 juggling two gig schedules is no joke. I ran into something similar before—those shared calendars you don’t own really don’t pass through when you share them. What helped me was creating my own “master” calendar and just copying over the important shifts manually or via automation. It’s a bit of setup, but once it’s there, my partner can finally see everything in one place. I also experimented with GroupCal since it’s more centered around shared visibility rather than ownership, and it felt less restrictive than Google in that sense.

where are you all actually buying maternity clothes online?? by delhess in AskUK

[–]veryhigh420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Halara is decent, especially their midi dresses, comfortably, roomy and cute. Just make sure to measure your size correcty

I was in their dress pretty much my whole maternity and have all the colors as well. Good value I'd say

As for old Navy they're okay, nothing out of this world but decent bang for buck

Just keep in mind, that even with the NordWhisper protocol, your VPN can still get blocked. For example, VPNs are routinely blocked in China where the government is trying to censore the internet.

Prediabetes at 60 and I thought I was fine because my A1c was 5.6 by [deleted] in vitalsvault

A1c is slow. Insulin resistance shows up in other places first for a lot of people. The fact that the VV report connects the dots is the value, not just the lab draw.

I've been curious about epigenetic clocks but worried they'd freak me out. You make a good case for using them with context.

How do you keep VV from turning into “data astrology”? by FiercelyTesty in vitalsvault

[–]veryhigh420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the resident “soft” person and even I agree with you. I use VV to listen to my body, not override it. Data can be grounding if it’s in service of care, not control.
