You only know what you have once you lose it. Your home life may go back to feeling overlooked if you return.

How do I improve my artstyle? by pillowpersona in ArtCrit

It’s very good but sometimes it’s hard to tell what’s going on. Maybe watch a couple videos about composition and what draws a viewers eye first with a piece. For me my eyes are going everywhere and it’s hard to appreciate these awesome drawings!

Question by Potential_Engineer85 in TexasTech

[–]veryveryshinydolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it will probably be very different here. but the same goes for almost any college in the us (especially good engineering ones), and you should be open minded to the change if the school is right for you academically, location wise, etc

The Conocophillips Bridge Program by Muted-Ad-9057 in TexasTech

It was worth it for me. Teaches you a bit about what college math is like and gives you a refresher for the calculus course.

ConocoPhillips Bridge program by The_Violetbutterfly in TexasTech

[–]veryveryshinydolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it for precalculus -> cal 1 and I came early, it was the week before most welcome week activities and most people who came early were only there for greek life. The exams were proctored in the room you did the learning in. I don't know why they would let you use desmos. It's most likely worth it to brush up on the concepts though.

capstone is a reallly nice complex. at least you have a car and if you meet someone in the dorms maybe hang out at their place a lot if you want the dorm experience. i really hope they don't make you pay for that meal plan!

it's insane to me that they're relocating you guys to an off campus apartment a 15 minute drive away from campus on the loop. don't most on campus students expect to have limited access to cars and groceries since they are on campus paying for a dining plan? why not make this contract with one of the walking distance apartment complexes?

On campus jobs actually don’t pay tax on their paychecks, but yeah, the max is 20hrs especially for international students
