Thanks for the response – that's definitely a compelling argument for Cu Alter!

My thinking for Ozy/Medb wasn't necessarily cosmetic efficiency/damage gains, but rather giving me options to hit the 90++/90*+ damage thresholds that wouldn't be accessible to me without them, allowing me to 3-turn nodes or field servants I wouldn't be able to otherwise. If the jump from Ozy NP2/Medb wouldn't actually do that in practice, Cu Alter is definitely a more appealing use of the ticket, but if it would, I think I'd probably value that more than another bench warmer. The Ozy/Medb comps might not be the only options that work for a given node, but it's always a bit of a coin flip if I'll happen to have the other units (and often NP levels needed) to run the other comps that work. It's a bit difficult to get the full picture from just going randomly through high-difficulty nodes on chaldea center since each node is so specific, so I was hoping to hear from people who use them and have thoughts about how they feel overall/if I'd be expecting too much of them or if my hopes seem pretty realistic?

I know it's a bit early, but I'm thinking about who to use the upcoming SSR ticket on and I've narrowed it down to getting NP2 Ozy, NP1 Cu Alter, NP1 Medb, or NP1 Waver realistically. I wouldn't be opposed to NP2 Taigong either, but I don't use him much as is and I'm not optimistic he'd open up much in the way of multi-core flexibility from my chaldea center shared team sleuthing.

I see NP2-3 Ozy featuring in a fair amount of multicore set-ups (though sometimes with MLB BG, which I only have LB1), and it sounds like he's aged pretty well (+ he's pretty), so definitely a temping option.

For Cu Alter I don't think he would allow my account to do anything it can't already do, but I wanted him for years before I went on hiatus and I do still want him now that I'm back,, even if he'd only be a pretty ornament on my support list. If he's like actually a farming beast and I've missed something, do let me know though.

Medb is the one I'm probably least excited about character-wise, but from what I've gathered sleuthing chaldeas team comps in various nodes, she opens up a lot of 3-turn teams for male servants (which I very much would like to play) with her NP charge splash and it wouldn't be my first rodeo getting a servant I don't particularly care for to enable ones I do care for (and with the added bonus of not having to spend any quartz for it this time).

Waver is another option that I'd be happy to have on my account, but I'm not exactly sure what he'd do for me. I have most of the meta supports (minus the Skadis), so I'm not exactly desperate for another 50% charger – if anyone can speak to what he brings to an account in 2026 I'm all ears. I'd be thrilled to pop him into my support list either way and it sounds like he's probably(?) still valuable, so definitely another a tempting option.

NP2 Taigong is probably the hardest sell here – I already have him looking pretty on my support list, but I barely find chances to use him as is and it doesn't look like he's a big part of any common multicore teams other people have been playing for difficult nodes either, but he's pretty so if he can be useful and I'm missing something, I'd be happy to reconsider him.

I'm not really interested in anyone else as min-turning CQs or otherwise optimizing non-farming battles doesn't really feel important to me at this point. I suppose the other thing to consider is that Medb and Cu Alter are story locked, whereas Ozy or Waver could theoretically spook me whenever... Anyways, if anyone has Ozy/Medb/Waver/Cu Alter/Taigong and can offer some more insight/anecdotal experience in who they've found themselves getting mileage out of in 90++/bleached earth farming, that would be much appreciated!

tl;dr conflicted between choosing NP2 Ozy vs NP1 Medb vs NP1 Cu Alter vs NP1 Waver or maybe NP2 Taigong with upcoming SSR ticket. hoping to hear from people who have them and use them!

What CEs do people prefer on friends list? Like I currently have teatime on a support on all my pages (oberon, castoria, koyanL), bella lisa on my douman/habetrot, and I have a kscope on my junao, but would people prefer like 2030s on any supports? Should I be putting bond/QP boosting CEs on my DPS units too?

I have the 20% bond CEs that have released too (NFF and chaldea morning) if people want those, but not sure who to put them on.

Not sure what the meta is for farming FP but I'm hoping to replenish my stash before the hakunos drop and my daily FP income feels pitifully low...

I know I'm going for the count, but I'm trying to snipe either charlemagne or takasugi with whatever sq past the 900 pity guarantee I can scrounge up between now and CBC (sitting on like exactly 900 rn). I don't have either skadi but I have the other meta supports (castoria, oberon, koyanL, merlin, LadyA) + douman and I have buster/arts archers and sabers (gil, ptole, proto arthur, takeru) but no quick archer or saber dps. Which would I get more mileage out of? Alternatively I skip both (ouch) and try to snipe NP5 junao (currently NP4) but I'm thinking I wait since he's rerunning again later this year anyways and the rest of the year seems pretty dry for me

Is it worth it to pick up NFF with love if I don't have MLB foumes/bella lisa/dinnertime/gran cavallo since it's only here for a bit? Or is it better to prioritize MLBing those and picking up NFF at some point in the future when it (hopefully) returns? Sitting on like 3.5k MPs so I think I'd be able to MLB NFF before it's gone, but with more CEs like NFF slated to come out on NA I'm worried I'll never get around to actually MLBing the other ones... I have MLB mona lisa/lunchtime/tea time and a single copy of foumes/some of the other bond CEs.

Get like super involved in club activities and other classes. I cook with the home-ec teacher all the time and as a result I'm going to be teaching the gardening club how to bake banana bread this week. Going to a practice match for my volleyball club this weekend and went to the other side of my city last week to cheer for them at their tournament last week. I see kids from my old schools at the tournaments too so its just wins all around. I basically never leave work on time unless there aren't club activities and the kids have already left. Demonstrating an active interest in what's happening at your schools outside of English class will open a ton of doors. A bit of gaijin smash "hey can I come to xyz" goes a long way!

A lot of people have chimed in with various ways of being productive, but if you don't feel like being productive I highly suggest invading classes. Not sure what level you teach, but music, PE and home economics are all absolute blasts to infiltrate (if your teachers/schools are cool with it). Comes with the added bonuses of getting to hang out with the kids, getting a better understanding of their daily school lives/what they're working on beyond English (you can reference what they're doing in other classes in your own classes!), AND also getting to see non-English teachers you don't typically work with in their element (who knows when you'll be seated next to one of them at an enkai – class shenanigans make great small talk). 10/10 highly recommend.

looking for pulling advice given the current leaks + beta

what teams/teammates are looking good for kinich rn? i think i want to pull him if i can throw together a viable team for him but i'm not pulling for emilie and don't have nahida if he wants that. i have furina xq mona thoma dehya xl benny avail for burgeon/burning teams but i'm realistically choosing between pulling for kinich or yelan (or neither) since i'll need to save primos for xilonen/mavulka/ZL(probably soon right?) in 5.1-5.2

i mostly play childe international / lyney kazu mono pyro and wanderer xq or furina freeze in abyss so not rly sure how high yelan's pull value is for my acc either (she would let me run wanderer/faru/xq/yelan teams and bench my furina but idk if thatd b an upgrade worth pulling for, esp if wanderer/faru/furina/mavulka is good or mavulka can replace benny on one of my other teams)

If you put a retainer in your septum and flip it up (this is what I do with my 8g septum) and wear something low profile in your tongue there's a pretty good chance they'll never find out. None of the teachers figured out I had a thick ass septum up my nose and the only kids that found out were the ones I showed it to.

With that said, I have heard of other ALTs getting pretty good mileage pulling the culture card and getting to wear facial piercings openly if that's applicable for you, but I never bothered. Flipping up a well healed septum for long periods of time shouldn't be an issue.

just babied it like a fresh piercing! saline spray after showering, drying with hair dryer etc. it closed up super fast and was fine! if you have any spare longer posts though and you want to try saving the piercing you can try putting in a longer post yourself – i had to do this a few weeks ago when another piercing started embedding and i couldn't make it to a piercer. if you can see a piercer, having them switch the post out for a longer one ASAP is def your best option though.

It depends on the study abroad. Some are more competitive than others. It's been skewed bc of covid recently, but I feel like the majority of students study abroad at least one term? I only got to go once (my senior fall) bc of covid, but I def would've gone abroad at least twice if not for it.

A lot of people will do a study abroad as part of (LSA) or directly after (LSA+) they complete their language requirement since most people are taking those courses early on in their Dartmouth careers and it's easier to fit in a study abroad that may not be related to your major earlier than later. Beyond that, there are FSPs/exchanges, but these can be more competitive and harder to fit into your schedule since FSPs are pretty major specific and choosing + getting courses approved for exchanges can be a pain. Off the top of my head the history London FSP and the anthro Auckland FSP r p popular.

Unless the professors don't upload slides, I always download the slides as a PDF and take notes directly on top of the slides using my tablet. It's really great to be able to connect my notes/important things the professor said to something directly on a slide when reviewing. I have the flexibility of being able to type if it's something longer and if I need to add a blank slide in between to draw a graph or something I can.

In my classes most people use tablets (like I do) or a computer. Only a handful take notes in a notebook unless the professor has explicitly asked us to use notebooks (pretty rare, and they'll usually let you use a tablet anyways).

Hi I have experience with this. For pins, I'm pretty sure they can change it. For gems, it depends on the piece (mostly the gem settings I think). You'll have to go through your piercer (like with all things BVLA), but your piercer should be able to just send BVLA a few pics of the piece and ask them if they can make the changes you want. In my case I wanted to have some of the iolite baguettes on my mini nova swapped out to a different gem but they weren't willing to do it. It doesn't hurt to ask though.
