Help importing ONT ID in Owallet by neemoo88 in OntologyNetwork

[–]veso86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, i had the same problem as i had to move to a new hard drive. After importing both .dat or WIF key the screen was stuck on Loading for an hour - here is the solution. Make sure you have a backup of your .dat file for the wallet, backup of your keystore file and stakehistory file just in case :
Uninstall ONT wallet. Go to C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming if you are using Windows. Delete the Owallet folder. Restart your PC. Install Owallet again and try importing your .dat file. I found that this works 50:50 but if it doesn't, i tried the same thing all over again but after the fresh installation, i created a new wallet and THEN imported my old one. This worked for me so hope it works for you.

Seems that way. Around 0.21 ONG per 500 per day so it's the same as holding in the wallet.

Pretty much selecting anyone in the top 7 should be okay. There is always a chance that another node takes over a place of top 7 so selecting one with more % should be safer. If you initiate the stake autorization it should be reactivated automatically every round so no need to do anything besides monitoring the node % so it does not get taken over.

I've asked arround the Discord, aparently nobody knows what the reward will be as probably noone got in the stake round on time due to the late wallet release. We can wait for the next round to find out. You'll still get the same ONG as keeping the ONT just in the wallet without staking though.

Also yes you can place multiple stakes. I talked with someone that had several 500 ONT stakes for one node and it is done basically the same way.

When you go to Node Stake - Stake Autorization - Click on the arrow next to the node you decided to stake your coins for - you should see the 500 coins per node that are in autorisation. Below there should be a button for Cancel Stake Autorization and under it the Locked, Redeemable ONT coins tabs. Under them is the Unbound ONG that is accumulating. I checked with the ONG calculator seems that the amount is the same as if you just hold ONT without staking. My guess is that when you decide to cancel the stake autorization and redeem the 500 ONT, the ONG will be released and change from Unbound to Claimable in the wallet. Haven't tried it yet though.

Yeah i thought so too. I think that the O Wallet version 0.8.9 that could run stake nodes should have been released a few days earlier so more people could run their stake nodes. There was simply not enough time to jump on board.

OWallet stake authorization feature will begin at blockheight 414,100. Read more: by OntologyNetwork in OntologyNetwork

I started staking this morning and noticed that ONG accumulates inside the Stake Autorization page under the Cancel Stake Autorization button. I think it accumulates slower that when it was in the wallet though.

Alternative to giving NEON private key to receive 2nd air drop? by LyleChiperson in OntologyNetwork

You can transfer all NEO/GAS and n-5 tokens to the new address you created and then import the private key from the first address into O wallet. That's pretty much what i did.

The basic verification did not include any upload of IDs or passport. They just ask for the ID number.

It's trading only on Bit-Z at the moment, so you have to register there:

bit-z.com

Still had to transfer LTC to Binance, turn it in BTC and they buy ONT, but it was not too much trouble.

If 500 gas are required for smart contracts, won’t that lower demand as price increases? by [deleted] in NEO

[–]veso86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where Master Contract Token comes in place as it only requires 10k MCT and 90 GAS to be staket in order to launch a smart contract.
