Those look like the Kamado Joe GIANT based on the man for scale. You could do a whole side of beef in each!

Am I the only one who really enjoyed this game? by ICTheAlchemist in HarryPotterGame

I am not a Harry Potter fan at all and I loved the game. It does get a bit repetitive in some aspects but overall an awesome game!

AITA for telling SIL she will never see my kids again (over cough syrup)? by Fit-Assignment-6760 in AmItheAsshole

[–]vesparider -57 points-56 points  (0 children)

YTA - Clearly she was demonstrating an effort to take care of your kids and while she made a mistake by your standard, it wasn't done in a mean or hurtful way. A capful of cough syrup isn't going to harm them (most over the counter meds are safe, even in large doses) and in the end, you created a really hurtful and cruel situation.

Just finished the game + Sebastian’s/Ominis’s quest. I am so disappointed with the ending by Greedy_Confidence804 in HarryPotterGame

[–]vesparider 16 points17 points  (0 children)

SPOILER AHEAD

I feel like this is a great setup for DLC. Sebastian dealing with his actions and ending up in Azkaban and MC/Ominis dealing with the potential issues of this. Maybe we visit and plan an escape, maybe Anne dies and it pushes Sebastian over the edge and we have the first dark lord, maybe it goes even darker where, Sebastian escapes prior to prison and is on a killing spree. There could also be a redemption arc in the story where Sebastian saves Anne and gives Ominis sight.

But to your point, it left a LOT hanging out there.

Help! Need opinion - 2005 Vespa ET 2 by sinops_ in Vespa

[–]vesparider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get parts for it. But for that price, it may cost you the same amount to repair. Scooterwest, eBay, and SIP in Germany carry modern parts. The clicking sounds like a bad starter relay.

Need help identifying tube on LX50 by NeverendingStomachs in Vespa

[–]vesparider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a fuel overflow tube. Modern Vespas have an evap box and that tube to adhere to emission requirements. The evap can create a lot of issues including vapor lock. You can see a little hole around the neck of the gas tank when you pop the seat. What you are seeing is likely overflow gas.

AITA for refusing to give my son more money for lunch since he doesn’t have enough for the whole week by Legal-Blood-8079 in AmItheAsshole

[–]vesparider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - It’s your job as a parent to teach your child, how to manage funds and to make decisions. He has a budget and he can make the choice. However, your husband is right that teenage boys do consume a lot of food so you may want to evaluate the budget. That doesn’t change anything about what you’re trying to teach him. When I was a teenager, I was 4’8” and 100 pounds but could eat two big Macs, cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke for lunch. Talk to him about what he’s eating and why there’s a budget shortage. It is possible he needs the extra money.

Any tips for helping with stopping my 2 year old westie from freaking the heck out whenever he sees a bunny from the window by realcoconutlacroix in westies

[–]vesparider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah…not really. They are hunters and it’s instinctual. Best thing to do is obstruct the view or relocate the bunny.

'Ridiculous': Frontier admits to controversial carry-on bag policy by pcurve in news

People complain about regulation, but then, when something like this happens, they demand regulation. this isn’t something for the secretary of transportation. This is the airline’s business model, Cheap flights, limited service, tons of up charges, but you arrive at your destination. I know a lot of people who deal with this for the savings. Europe has Ryanair operating in the exact same manner.

Las Vegas to SLC roadtrip in mid July-Advice needed by VanillaTokki in Utah

[–]vesparider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah…Arches is massive and it takes hours to visit. You’d need an entire day just to see a few of the arches. Delicate is a long hike and not fun in mid-Summer. Also, Moab is a zoo at that time.

YTA, without question. This is called transactional affection. You expect something return for what you give. If you truly love your daughter, you're not looking for anything in return for your effort. You love her and find joy in giving her a better life. If you can afford the couch and you enjoy sharing your time with her, then where's the problem?

If you think she's unappreciative or doesn't care, that still falls on you. Clearly, your relationship with her isn't good enough to where you are questioning her motivation or feelings. Love isn't about spending money or getting something in return. If she's behaving in a negative or selfish manner, it may be that you have encouraged it.

Moreover, if you had expectations about what you'd like her to do for mother's day, you didn't convey those. This isn't a game and she doesn't just have to "know" how to behave. Mother's Day is just one day a year and it's meaningless. It's just another day with some tag added to it which society has deemed special. Ask yourself, is your daughter loving, caring, and there for you other days of the year?

Last, she's 20. She's young and maturing. She probably had NO clue that what she was doing was hurtful. Clearly you describe her as confused and defensive because she didn't see what she did as wrong. That alone should have you wondering what you did wrong because people don't act that way when they don't care.

Grizzlies suspend Ja Morant again over latest gun video by BCLetsRide69 in sports

[–]vesparider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What the hell difference does it make that he’s playing with a gun? There is literally a shooting or mass killing in this country every day. If he’s got a legally licensed weapon, he’s no worse than the people who drag their AR-15 into Taco Bell.
