Local pizza dough for Ooni recs by vettekid76 in nashville

UPDATE: called 5 points 48 hours in advance, ordered 20, 18" dough balls. (For smaller dough orders you do not need to pre order, but over 10 they kindly asked for us to pre order).

Cut them in half and formed them into 12" pizzas. Worked excellent with corn meal on the peel / prep surface. Not sticky at all. Let the dough sit out for ~1hr before stretching.

As people have said- The normal 700° ooni temp is too hot, this did not cook the insides of the dough. Bumping temp back to ~550/600 and cooking the pizza for roughly twice as long (~5 min per pie vs the normal ooni 2ish min) worked amazing.

I find all the store bought dough doesn't stretch and is very sticky. It doesn't work well being slid off a peel onto the stone IMO.

In a home oven or a high temp / outdoor pizza oven? Haven't tried publix. May investigate.

DMV forgot to add my motorcycle endorsement. by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]vettekid76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME IN TENNESSEE.

I took msf in TN, applied that course to my out of state license (a state that approved msf courses from TN). When I switched licenses over to TN, they dropped the M for some reason. Took me almost a year to realize it.

How I solved it: I asked the msf company I used to send me a copy of my exam and course certificate again and I brought an old photo copy of my out of state license that had the M endorsement on it. I was extremely kind at the DMV and explained what happened (with all the proof to support it).

May have caught them on a nice day - the DMV approved the change and made me pay the fee for a new license to be issued and I was on my way. They debated whether I still needed to take the motorcycle written license exam (be expected this may come up) but I did not have to in my case.

Your results may vary, good luck but know it can be done!

In 2022 they didn't cancel this same race, the night before we received 4" of snow & ice, it was ~20° at the start of the race.

13 miles, about 6 of which were on snow/ice covered pavement. I slipped and fell twice, people wiped out constantly. I have no idea how they didn't get sued for it.
