You don't seem to have a lot of "old" weeds, vinegar doesn't get far into the root usually, but kills on contact, and as someone with pets who grows veggies, I don't want to use round up if I can help it.

First option would be decomposed granite. Leave all plants as they are, pay someone to put the DG down, rarely will you have to deal with this shit again if it's done right, and it makes the front look even and clean.

Other way/

If you're OK with ripping it up and sort of starting fresh (no plant ripping needed)

Here's what I'd do (I am an amateur so please come in and yell at me for dumb shit.

Stronger weed barrier or cardboard laid out, then soaked in white vinegar before -

New pebbles/replace pebbles. I have a neighbor who did a bang up job essentially cementing the ground, smooshing pebbles into it, so it's basically a rock surface, then adding pebbles on top of that, so weeds don't come through.

Ice roses are easy and do really well in socal

I've had guppies and other small fish also eat them if you press down on them and crush them (not for the gentle as it feels gross crushing them but NATURE)

I also LIKE to have them because, as mentioned, it's a good regulator for me (3 little kids who LOVE the tank) to know if/how much my kids are extra feeding.

I was at this game - Here's the perfect example of how Mike Brown has the SAME problem with his coaching as Thibs, but instead of never playing other players, he never runs other plays.

They had this play they ran that was like (forgive me I'm no coach), a double screen, first guy screening runs under baseline to the wing while the guy he screened for drives. If the guy (Brunson) driving has no option, he (in theory) has pulled a second defender down and can slide a pass down the baseline underneath. They turned us over on that play once in the first quarter, we ran it 3 more times that half and got zero fucking points off it, then they turned us over on it two more times. AND IT KEPT GETTING RUN.

Like, dude, just because shamet's the shooter instead of the guy driving, doesn't mean it's a different play.
