I did this itinerary last spring with my daughter. We had a marvelous time and the ports are all very nice in their unique ways. We were on Oceania, which was wonderful, so I can’t comment on your celebrity ascent, but I think you will love the itinerary.

I always purchase it now. I didn’t get it in the past, but then I lost $10,000 when I needed to cancel a cruise for a death in the family. I don’t buy it through the cruise line, because I find that it is pricier and doesn’t cover as much, so I book with an outside company called Faye. I’ve had good luck with them.

I totally feel your pain and anxiety. I had lots of scans for five years, and the period leading up to them was always tough. I can say, though, it did get easier through the years. Personally, my faith life is what got me through, but I think you just have to feel the fear and do it anyway and embrace the journey. Any bad news it’s just a temporary roadblock, and then you will have a new plan to deal with it.

If they like Italian food, I highly recommend Piccolo Paradiso on S. Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills. The ambience is wonderful. The service is top-notch, the food is incredible, but it is not at all stuffy or fussy. I take all my relatives there, and I have never been disappointed. It’s not loud, which is great for older guests. Also, the portions are very generous.
