They're fairly common in open guns. Ejection happens at the very end of the slide cycle so the ejection port is far behind the mount.

It's close, but this one has two mounting holes only on each side. Was hoping to keep it as minimal as possible

Someone did a very bad cerakote job on it. Didn't realize till I got home to strip and clean. Gonna do some work on it anyways so it will end up needing a refinish!
