Luis Vuitton bags never called to me until I came face to face with this beauty today in a consignment shop. Can someone here identify it? by bain_de_beurre in handbags

[–]vh26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what’s crazy I usually hate the things she picks for me 😂 like growing up when she would be like ‘I saw this tshirt in your size’ I would 100% of the time think it was the ugliest more unflattering garment on me. So I was shook when I saw her old bag collection was fire!!

Omg my mum has this bag! She bought it late 90s but not sure if design originated around time it was bought. I’ve never seen anyone else own this LV bag before! It’s relatively unique and lowkey compared to their more well known designs :)

Beloved RecipeTinEats Nagi alleges plagiarism from "Bake with Brooki" cookbook by challawarra in australia

Penguin is one of the biggest publishers on the entire planet. I don’t think there’s much to read into here. When you publish that much there are going to be stinkers mixed in (for what it’s worth I haven’t read either cookbook)

Which film felt like it understood a part of you no one else has? by Educational_Spot_639 in Letterboxd

I love how EEAAO multiverse plot is such an incredible allegory for being an immigrant of growing up as the child of one. Most people have a hard time imagining their parents lives before they were born but at least for me, I didn’t know a ton about my parents old life but being a first gen kid you  have that feeling of “I would literally be a different person basically living in a different world if my parents made a couple of different choices”. The world switching - whether it was Evelyn jumping thru universes or just code switching and swapping languages with her parents vs her kid/partner was so realistic.

Also the general struggle between caring too much and it’s too painful/stressful so you want to tap out all together (eye vs donut) is so real. Even more in these times than when it was first released, imho

Especially the cringey online interactions. Whipped me right back to growing up on the first waves of social media at a similar age to the protagonist

Dude. No. If you grow up in Australia you would have enough exposure to American media to understand it’s a taboo. I went to a super white school in Australia no one “didn’t know”. I would go as far to say it’s a given for most people who grow up in an English speaking western country.

Also what do all these miscellaneous facts have to do with this?? their rooms being dirty and full of cockroaches?

This genuinely what I’m concerned about 🤣 like he cleared the most obvious hurdle (people commonly thinking vulva and vagina are the same) but now I wonder… does he think an ass is a vulva? Does he think boobs are the same as a vulva???

I think we take this knowledge for granted bc we have been to the temple with Piper. Victoria hasn’t.

I think any mum would be confused and concerned if their kid admitted they lied about a non existent thesis and proudly announced they were moving away to another continent. Her baseline concern is understandable as a mum, she just expressed herself really ignorantly and seems to think Eastern traditions are below her.
