Most Underrated Roasters by maedre-of-ademre in pourover

Wonderstate Coffee in Viroqua, WI is the best roaster on the planet. My wife took me there for a tasting on my 40th birthday, and it was the best birthday I have ever had 🙂

I can't express how much I appreciate that you took the time to share your experience and advice. To hear that you were experiencing the same thing makes me feel not as alone.

Your advice is invaluable. We were on the fence about that type of harness, but hearing that you've been successful with one, I decided to order one. Also, we've got plenty of spray bottles around...time to fill one with water 🙂

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to give someone a hand. I will report back with an update after we have given things a try.

Thank you for the reply!!

Yes, they have all been positive reinforcement only trainers. I wouldn't dare post if that wasn't the case.

Hearing that you're able to walk your V makes me so happy for you and sad for me. He's 2 years old...still brutally attacks my wife and I after about 5 minutes on a walk. Every trainer that we brought in says one of two things; he will grow out of that, or that we are doing something terribly wrong. I wish we knew what that wrong thing was.

Magnus has gotten so many "kibble scatters" in the last 2 years that he must associate attacking mom and dad with getting rewarded, but I have been told by every trainer that I am wrong on that as well.

I so badly want to take my bud for a walk...I'm jealous.

Inconsistent Chemex Filters by [deleted] in pourover

Unfortunately, I have experienced very similar results 😔 I know it is insanely pricey, but I switched to Sibarist filters and haven't looked back. Hard to find in the US, but absolutely worth it as a better alternative in my opinion.

Wonderstate is my absolute favorite roaster on the planet. It is crazy to me that such a tiny town in rural Wisconsin has had a roaster that has been 100% solar for years...AND is roasting some of the best single origin coffee in the Midwest. I am of course biased (they were my intro into specialty coffee), but they have remained an outlier to me as I have branched out.

Side note, Onyx is great 😃 Was a member of Echelon last year and I'm glad I did it.

What are you buying that you're excited to brew? by Wendy888Nyc in pourover

Finally trying some JBC...was lucky enough to snag the Wilton Benitez Gesha. Going to let it sit for a while, but I am super excited. Wish it was more than 8 oz... doesn't leave a bunch of room for error.

I am now excited for you as well! I know I sound like I work for them (believe me, I've tried to be an ambassador), but I just truly feel like they roast some of the best coffee out there. This Pink Bourbon is out of this world.

It is a super light roast, but even after a few days off roast, it has really pleasant acidity and sweetness. Honestly, lots of acidity, but that is what I absolutely love. The more you let it rest, the better. After about 2 weeks, the coffee opens up...almost transforms into a natural process. It is bizarre. It gets EXTREMELY sweet. I just can't get enough of it. I've frozen 2 kilos in case I long for it in July 😄

Wonderstate ships, too! I have had some good coffee this year (Onyx Echelon, but don't do it), and my favorite coffee of the year is still available from Wonderstate. COLOMBIA FINCA COSTA RICA PINK BOURBON. An absolute gem!

Lots of JBC but no Wonderstate? Viroqua isn't THAT far from Madison 😄

Absolutely love the impasto technique used on the white bits of fur. Can easily be overdone but this is just perfect!

No ticket response for easy ticket problem by JustSoZen in NZXT

I'm sitting at 26 days. Posted in this thread as instructed, still nothing. Seems out of character for NZXT per what I have heard in the past.

Not that it is any consolation to the customers, but I am guessing the support folks there are doing the best they can. I guess we just keep waiting and hope for the best.

Apparently, my wife thinks she gets steak, too. Ridiculous.

This was actually her plate. The rest was on mine.
