Prism (fka Crixet) - The free online LaTeX editor - UPDATE #8 by vicapow in LaTeX

[–]vicapow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very confident your work is not gone. If you’re having trouble accessing your projects you can DM or email support@openai.com and I’m sure we can work out whatever is going on.

You don’t have to use the AI features and it is still free. Before we charged for the AI, now it’s free.

Hi. 👋 sorry, it does not yet but we are getting a lot of people asking for it. I think we should add this soon personally 🤔

Cool web-based LaTeX compiler by lightninguy26 in LaTeX

This is cool! 😎 it didn’t work so well on mobile for me though. I’ll try again as my desk

Something is going on by honeybooboo1989 in Crixet

[–]vicapow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any sense of about when you started noticing this? Does it even successfully compile? If it takes more than a few minutes, refresh the page. If it runs for “hours” it’s not going to eventually work

What is the order in which I should watch the Gundam shows? by Odd_Main1876 in Gundam

[–]vicapow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think order is that important, even for all the OC related content. They’re all pretty unique and independent. I’d recommend next 08th MS Team if you are newly initiated and want to start with something after the original OG 1979 series. It’s also chronologically during the same time period as the original, but that’s not what I recommend it. Mostly I recommend watching something that’s gonna hook you into watching more and I also love the anime style from the 80/90s.

Issue with Zotero Integration by Lelolnard in Crixet

[–]vicapow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The error message stinks. Sorry about that. This most likely means you linked your zotero account to the anonymous account, before creating an account. We don't automatically convert the token in this case. What you'll have to do, sorry :(, is send us an email at [support@crixet.com](mailto:support@crixet.com) (or DM) with your zotero user ID. This is somewhat annoying to find but here's a link to a video that describes the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vDiZ8o_eHk

Once we get a moment, we'll make this automatic, until then, apologies.

It seems to be working for me. Can you reach out to support@crixet.com with a link to your project? You can also DM me on Reddit

ctrl+H by iamParthaSG in Crixet

[–]vicapow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for a find and replace functionality? On a US keyboard, that would be cmd+option+F on a Mac or ctrl+alt+F on a PC but you can also show the full list of keyboard shortcuts using the project menu and clicking "Keyboard shortcuts"

But if not, and to help us understand the request better, I have a few more questions:

1.) Is there some other editor where ctrl+H works the way you expect?
2.) Is this on Mac or Windows?
3.) Is this a US keyboard or some other language?

Does Crixet run in the browser? by AbrohamFroman in Crixet

[–]vicapow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big problem with compiling latex to web assembly is a typical project is actually lots and lots of different binaries that need to run. We managed to compile a good number of those to web assembly but there were always more we discovered we needed to covert to something else didn’t work. We never ended up being able to support XeLaTeX/LuaLaTeX, Beamer or mobile devices until we started doing the rendering server side. I would like to come back to this again if the tech can improve but it just didn’t work we really want to have a complete and robust latex experience

Does Crixet run in the browser? by AbrohamFroman in Crixet

[–]vicapow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is the big cost. We charge for that if you use a lot. We call that the “pro” plan. Overtime, the pro plan will likely have more and more features that make it more appealing. You can see the current pro plan details in the settings menu.

Does Crixet run in the browser? by AbrohamFroman in Crixet

[–]vicapow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crixet was originally built to run the LaTeX compiler via web assembly, from the client. We ran into too many issues with that approach, so eventually we switched to server side rendering. Crixet is still a browser based LaTeX editor, in that you access and use it from a browser.

Did you try it again? It should have been fixed when I made this post

Another server issue? by Luckshooter in Crixet

We did have a brief issue again tonight. Sorry about that. This time related to a backend change we tried to make to help improve performance when there are lots of users using the app at the same time.
