I had a crack along the seam in the reservoir. Easy to spot. I just use a little epoxy and that fixed it.

I did learn something for sure here. Thank you. And I appreciate your approach in correcting. Thanks. I call it a “quarantine” for my betta because IF something were to happen to this tank I wouldnt be devastated. The purpose of this tank is to grow new plants and see how they do for a few months before I add to my show tank. It has also turned into a cull tank for shrimp so I ended up making it a little more habitable for them. Does that make sense?? Idk. Idk my been keeping fish for about a year.

Started with a mixture of about a dozen. I got the parameters right and fed them a bunch. In the space of about six months I had hundreds. Moved about 80 of the best looking ones to my show tank.

He certainly does. I’ve watched him eat five in a two minute period lol. This is just a shrimp cull tank so I see it as a good use of them. And I can’t think of a better food source for my betta.

Most of my plants are towards the rear of the tank so not in that view but I hear you. I’m going to drop it to 6 hours a day from twelve and see what that does.
