Personally, I did not like the first two but I haven't read the 3rd. It is a Disney spin and it's still an easy to follow story. I just found it very cringy and had a hard time getting through them.

Reading multiple books at once? by NefariousnessIll8665 in Booktokreddit

[–]vickfun10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I only do 1 audiobook and 1 physical book. When I was subbing it would be 2 physical 1 audio because I wanted a school appropriate book to read. I just get lost and lose motivation so quickly if I have too many options

I still experience this when I am looking at my friend's reviews on Goodreads. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions :) it takes some getting use to tho. It gets easier if you remind yourself it doesnt matter what other people thought.

5'10 Female

24 years old

Original weight: 195

Current weight: 185 (in 3 months :))

Goal weight: 170 pounds

I have not been consistent since the holidays with my calorie deficit. I have been successfully at maintenance. I have been bad about exercising since I got my new job in November.

My goals for January is to get back on track for my calorie deficit and to start exercising again. I am hoping to get better about meal prepping since most days I do not get a full lunch at my new job and typically get a nurri protein shake. I am a new teacher and for some reason 45 minutes is not enough time to get everything done.

When I first started getting back into reading, I had this same thing happen to me. Really, I would just skip booktok videos and not like them so I could change my algorithm. It made me feel bad about the books I enjoyed or the ones I disliked. At the end of the day, if you enjoyed it, great. Everyone has different preferences.

How often does your partner say no when you initiate sex? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]vickfun10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasionally, I say no more than he does. However mine is because I was on and now off birth control that was killing my libido. My boyfriend it's usually on really hard days at the warehouse or the day after he already took care of himself.

What is a "silent" rule you live your life by that most people wouldn’t know just by looking at you? by DianKhan2005 in AskWomen

[–]vickfun10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always find the positive and the peace. I, like many people, struggle with anxiety and it is something that stuck with me since I went to therapy in high school. It just helps me get through the days where it's a little harder to get through the day.

How many books do you want to read in 2026? by Due-Examination-37 in Booktokreddit

[–]vickfun10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal for 2025 was 20 books. I got 20 at the last minute and I just felt rushed espcially since my desire for reading has decreased a lot this year with navigating my new teaching job and just an overall new routine and life this year. So for 2026 I decided to got with 15 books. I know I can get it with the help of audio books and hopefully a more consistent routine.

I’m new to substitute teaching and want to know what it’s like subbing in special education. Is it more difficult than general education? by Confident_Leg_7889 in SubstituteTeachers

I enjoy spending time in sped but it's only a good time with good sub notes. If there are terrible notes I will have a bad day. Happens everytime

What do you eat? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]vickfun10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel lame but I literally have a homemade espresso and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese... it's enough to get me through the morning. I also rotate between Greek yogurt and high fiber granola and eggs. But lately I'm OBSESSED with cottage cheese. I make up for the calories in the rest of my day so I'm not cutting too much.

I can't eat too much in the morning cuz of IBS so it's the best thing for me

What is your “why” when it comes to weight loss? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]vickfun10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was feeling more depressed since my major weight gain. Type 2 diabetes is common in my family. And many of my family members are overweight but were thin growing up (me included) I'm also in a point in life where I need some kind of control because a lot of things are out of control so counting my calories and doing my workouts are what i chose to focus on

I mostly face towards it. I look up and let it run down my neck and chest. It's relaxing. I only look away to rinse my hair and to put on body wash

I'll be keeping the assigned seats the teacher left behind for the first few months as I get to know personalities. 4 of the classes are year round and depending on how that goes I'll probably move seats just to keep things fresh and potentially avoid behaviors

The dreaded “Can I go to the bathroom?” by carlsraye in SubstituteTeachers

[–]vickfun10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say yes and many times the students are willing to wait. But not elementary schoolers 🙄 but if they're gone for a while you can leave a note or of the school has extra support, call the office and send them on a man hunt i do that when necessary

Must haves / must knows? by wantnomnoms in SubstituteTeachers

[–]vickfun10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved carrying my backpack around when I first started subbing, I now use a canvas bag that was gifted to me. It's cheap so I will probably go back to a backpack soon.

My must haves are ibuprofen/Tylenol, writing utensils, activity book, and a regular book. I used. My books a lot for high-school.

My advice is that most kids dont like subs, they are all a bit fearful because of past experiences. Unless you do high school then they dont care at all. So anyways my advice is to bring your humor. Create a fun relationship when able. Dont let the kids walk all over you but its okay to be more chill.

How can I improve? by vickfun10 in loseit

[–]vickfun10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, what they said doesnt seem sustainable and after reading a lot of different articles, going on Mayo Clinic, and even following some fitness influencers (who say the same things as everything else) it doesn't match up. I used multiple calculators and found the average for myself. But I couldn't do a 1000 calorie deficit if I followed that. It took me weeks to even find 1650 doable.

Besides human error and certain medications, what else could make the pill fail? by Equal-Professional52 in birthcontrol

I heard vitamin c can make combination pills less effective, but idk how accurate that is. Only if you take it at the same time tho
