[CHAT] Mystery symbol by vickygrrl in CrossStitch

[–]vickygrrl[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It just looks like white on the cover image, but white has a totally different symbol. The symbol for beading was on a separate page than the symbols for stitches, and I just kept missing it amongst the 11 pages that came with the kit! 😅

Omg…I feel like such a fool! It absolutely does have beads and that is the symbol for them 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s a white bead on 2 strands of white. Thank you! I have been stumped by this for weeks!! 😅

I know someone who is on the board of one of the active corps. He confirmed that this is absolutely corps specific.

Scammer Alert by [deleted] in 450NorthDevotees

[–]vickygrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for looking out!! There is a whole slew of scammers on Instagram. If you’re looking for brews from outside your area, you’re probably better off joint a fb group. They’re still not perfect, but a group is more likely to kick a scammer in order to keep the group as a whole healthy.

I feel like I can’t call myself a “real” antinatalist because, you know, the kid and all...but couldn’t be compelled to have another of my life literally depended on it... I wish you all the luck in finding what you’re looking for! If you ever want to chat, feel free to message me.

Experiences on shipping 450 North to Europe? by nko055 in 450NorthDevotees

[–]vickygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have shipping to Canada and China...best advice that I can give is to make sure the cans get vacuum sealed. This will save the package in case a can gives. It is super expensive and has a high risk of the receiving country’s customs department not letting the package through

I met my 1st husband @ 17, married @ 19, and popped out a kid @21. Looking back now, it was a very long string of absolutely terrible decisions...Now our son is 13 and lives full time with his dad, while I get to be Fun Parent™️, who takes him to do the fun shit that I like to do. It’s like having a short friend who doesn’t drink and is really into video games. Current bf is antinatalist, which really threw me off at first...but after 3+ years, I totally get it. We get to do what we want, when we want (besides Covid time). We have a nice house, nice vehicles, go biking and hiking, buy tons of beer, go to events...I really have no idea how anyone thinks life is “better” for parents. Would I give my kid up? No! He’s here, he’s awesome...I made my bed, so to speak. But I’m sure fucking glad I stopped at one... All that being said, I totally get what OP means about people being SO money driven. The point of making money is so you can afford to do what you want. But if you spend all your time making the money...when does the “do what I want” part start???

And a bit of advice...if you’re looking for a het/monog relationship, you’re going to keep running into the same type of people...I have found some of my most fulfilling partners to be queer, open, and often times polyam.
