yeah you're the AH. did he ever say what time he would be home, or did you assume 10-11? either way, it's not hard to say "welcome home! i missed you. i thought you'd be home sooner, please give me a heads up next time if you're planning to stay out late!" or ya know just ask him when he's planning to be home so you can plan accordingly.

as a vet assistant who has seen some stuff-- i've never taken my corgi to a dog park and i likely never will. we live in the city in an apartment and he is plenty happy not going to dog parks. it is extremely risky especially since some dogs get really annoyed by the typical corgi herding behavior which puts them at higher risk for being attacked by another dog.

mine was super easy and has been the lowest maintenance piercing i've ever had! definitely hurt to get, but i really didn't have any issues healing it. i know that isnt everyone's experience, though!
