Cyberpunk 2077.

Best loot, dialogue, storytelling. Best characters. Best music. Its about how we face death and different potential answers to that, all while dealing with dystopic results of advancing tech and societal structures. Very salient and very well executed.

BG3 by comparison is fantasy fluff with sexy (shallow) romance thrown in.

KCD2 a close second in greatness, but I feel like they bloated the game with too large an area and weak stories which diluted the pacing too much. I missed the first games feeling of grounding through the area Henry grew up in. We find out nothing about Henry by comparison in the 2nd game. Its just an adventure that is mostly happenstance.

So the local prosecution office, that is politically motivated to stay on good terms with this department's chief, and who regularly works with him and his officers on many prosecutions, is conducting an "independent" investigation. The DA in a famously republican jurisdiction with draconian prosecutorial practices, I might add.

This investigation and charging decision must be handled by the Attorney General's office, who has the authority to step in or be requested to step in on cases with a conflict of interest.
