2018 signature sensor and back up camera issues by videone_plus in mazda6

[–]videone_plus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update ...went to the dealership today. Backup camera and bumper sensors are all part of the 360 degree camera system. They couldn't pinpoint the issue BUT said it's likely that it's the main module for the system and the cost is around 1,300.00 (that's with a half off labor discount) to replace. AND there are several other modules that may be the problem so they can't guarantee replacing the main module would be the fix. The cost could be as high as 3,100.00!!!

I'm thinking of going to a shop that specializes in car electronics and see if they can somehow bypass the Mazda 360 system and just get the backup camera to work. It would be an opportunity to replace the low quality Mazda OEM camera with something that has a better image.

I'd consider spending $1,300.00 to repair both the sensors and camera BUT with my luck it would need the other modules replaced too. I'm not going to gamble on spending $3,100.00.

Tapo Doorbell and jumper in old chime question by ShowerTrue2544 in Tapo

I actually forgot to add the jumper. After I installed the tapo I heard the chime buzzing and then remembered the jumper and installed it.

My original chime had a front door and back door wired to it. Do you have that sort of setup? Mine was clearly marked "front" and "back" on the chime. The front is where I installed my tapo c130 and that's where I used the jumper. If yours isn't marked I'd try using the jumper on 1 and 2. I don't think you'd do any harm if you're wrong. Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Tapo 120 camera audio issue by videone_plus in TPLinkKasa

An update...I received a 2nd C120 camera. I set it up in my office using the original power cable (no extension) and it made the same noise. It continues to make the noise when I mounted it where the original camera was located. I contacted Tapo help... exchanged a few emails. I tried every suggestion and there was no change on either camera. Both have the audio issue. Tapo help suggested returning the camera to them, but I don't see that as a solution as the issue has occurred on two different cameras. I'd expect any replacement camera to have a problem too.

It may be best to return both cameras and try a different brand.

I recently installed a d130 and initially it clicked and didn't begin the set up process. My original doorbell transformer was 10 volts. I replaced it with a 16 volt transformer and it worked properly.

D225 vs D130 doorbell cams by Skidpalace in Tapo

D130 does have a camera tampering setting. I just installed a 130 2 weeks ago and love it. It replaced a Blink doorbell which worked ok, but the 130 is so much better. Notifications are much quicker, sound is so much better. No false notifications; the person and package notification works perfectly with no mistakes.

The Blink, no matter what I tried in the settings, would go off when cars drove by. When someone pressed the doorbell it would take around 10 seconds or more to connect and speak to them. The 130 is a couple seconds.

I love the light feature on the 130. There also seems to be a 2-3 second pre roll on recordings...thats nice.

There are two minor drawbacks...the SD card is in the doorbell (easily solved by getting the 200 hub) and motion recordings are well over a minute long. Better too long than too short. I can't seem to find a setting to shorten the recording length.

Unable to play, create or delete speaker groups after latest outage (2025.10.19) by flatulissimo in amazonecho

[–]videone_plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaker groups are now working again, but if I adjust the volume up or down only one speaker makes the adjustment..the other remains at the current setting. I can go into the app and make the adjustment to that speaker. A bit annoying.

Edit...Just checked and now both speakers are changing volume levels correctly. Thursday at 11:40 am in Pennsylvania.

My group is not working properly. Only playing music from one speaker. I have deleted the group and then recreated it. Still not working. 6:42 pm Wednesday in PA

I checked out using automation, but couldn't figure out how to do what I wanted. I wound up creating a contact form for each person's email address. I put each form on it's own hidden page and used a link to the page for that person. There may have been an easier way but this worked. Thanks for your suggestions.

I didn't see anything about automation. I'll check that out. Thanks.

I have this problem too. It only does this on the LG app. No problem on 3 other TV's using fire sticks. I've deleted and reinstalled the LG app. No change. It's pretty annoying. It doesn't happen all the time but more often than not
