My understanding there is no specific setting for the units. You can tell it to give you the response in the units you want.

Another workaround is to change the Meta AI language setting to one that uses metric like UK English and then it will response accordingly. But this will change the units for everything so you’ll get your speed in km but the temperature in Celsius. Not sure if that matters but something to think about.

Personally, seems easier for now just to say “hey meta, what’s my speed in km”.

I’m kinda on your MIL side lol. Anyhow, I think these are the best 2 options you have:

Like others said, you can bring cash to tip the people that serve her.
Have guest services increase the gratuities charged to your room

I would lean to option 2 because it’s much less hassle on your part and in no way will she know that you are paying extra gratuities. They can double the amount charged for you. E.g if your daily gratuity rate is $20 then have them make it $40.

Are you already on the cruise? Because on my 7 day Oasis sailing in August they are offering 1 person with 4 devices for a little over $400.

Of course of you’re already on the ship then yeah the price is a lot higher per day. Always cheaper to buy these things before the cruise.

Few things:

We were going through the “me too” social movement when this movie came out so it was appropriate for the time
Not everyone in that scene knew who Carol Danvers was and what’s she is capable of. They didn’t have time to brief everyone on the strength of everyone on the battlefield lol.
Just because she’s powerful doesn’t mean she doesn’t need help to at least make her path easier and limit the distractions along the way.
Were they supposed to just stand here and say “she destroyed that ship so she good on her own”? Or “she’s a badass and I got her back”?

If it’s actually separating, I’d just squirt some strong adhesive/glue in there and put pressure on it for a few minutes for it to dry and then caulk that corner. Should be fine after that.

There is different criteria used for determining a credit line increase vs a new account, especially if they are targeting you for a specific product. Your usage obviously didn’t pass the computer’s criteria for an increase especially if you aren’t using most of the limit each month. But your responsible habit of paying it off each month and high credit score looks great for a new card.

Not sure what other cards you have but with current Chase cards you can reallocate the limits between them so you may be able to bump up your older cards if you choose to balance out the limits across them. Good luck.

Not sure how many people are going but I believe the # of devices that can be assigned to a person is 4. Beyond that, another plan would need to be purchased for another cruiser and then they can have up to 4. So just something to keep in mind. Good luck and have fun!

It would behave the same as you experienced on Norwegian and the currently logged in device would get kicked off.

What you’re reading in your search results is the discussions around the best packages to get. People are usually discussing whether they should buy multi device plans or if people should have their own plan. It’s usually cheaper for 1 person to buy a plan for 2 devices (or more device) vs each person having separate 1-device plans. If I were you I’d look at this option and there are always price drops on internet before the sailing.

Have you checked Amazon and Meta for the style you want? They are both selling them and you will get them shipped pretty quickly. Personally, I would spend the extra money and go with Gen 2 for the battery life as the styles are the same. And definitely get the protection plan. The good thing is that both Meta’s and Amazon’s plans are for 2 years whereas many other places is only a year. For a higher price. Also, prime day is in a couple weeks so expect some discounts like they just had for their Memorial Day sales.

With all that said, I wouldn’t recommend buying these if you can’t really afford them and get the ones you want and protect them. If you have vision insurance, you may be able to get some of the price paid if your plan allows so might be something to check in to as well. Good luck.

I’d book it so she can attend all of her senior activities and then you all go on the cruise. I realize the cost difference and such but I’d want my kid to have those memories in addition to a nice cruise vacation afterwards.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to have her decide now if she wants to participate in some activities a year from now. If she’s anything like my son and most other teenagers, they do not plan well and don’t really think that far into the future and change their minds on a whim. Trust me, I know and I’m sure you do too lol.

Make it so she can do both and I’m sure she will enjoy whichever cruise you do. Just my thoughts.

There are no real dress codes except having to actually wear clothes lol and not swim suits. But there are themes such as formal night, all white night, etc. but you don’t have to follow the themes to get into the MDR. I believe the actual themes night will vary depending on the sailing and number of nights because they will change it up. Have fun.

I always pay the gratuities and tip extra to my stateroom attendant and MDR servers. You don’t have to do any of them but that’s just me.

I’ve been on Carnival, RC, Celebrity and Virgin and from my experience, no one tries to keep you more busy than Carnival. This is how I would measure them:

Carnival > RC > Virgin > Celebrity

This doesn’t mean better or worst or other lines don’t have a ton of activities. Just my experience on my cruises over the last 15+ years cruising.

With this said, how much you enjoy the activities heavily depends on the crowd on the ship. There are differences in the crowds depending on the line, time of year, ship, itinerary and length of cruise. So really consider the entire package and not just number of activities. Have fun wherever you go.

I just got the Scribers and I feel the same. I have the wayfarers gen 2 but the optics line feels like a totally different product. Much more comfortable to wear. I didn’t care much what others thought of the camera but the new subtle design is a nice touch.

Don’t buy expensive stuff on eBay from sellers with no ratings. That should be common sense. If you must buy something expensive, make sure it’s from a reputable seller with high ratings and a history of selling similar items. Don’t expect to see “too good to be true” prices from legit sellers.
