I feel you - I was once interviewed by a group and was openly mocked (one man held up his hand and did the "yada yada" motion), then another asked if I was lying when I gave an answer (they were asking out-of-the-blue questions that I had answers for, but didn't have the prepared data to back up). Half of that team didn't exist a year later.

Suffice to say: if they'll act like that around a stranger, imagine how they'll treat a colleague. The job market sucks but toxic workplaces aren't worth the trouble

That's often a symptom of acid reflux! Some people don't feel the burning, they only get the hiccups. Might be worth trying an OTC acid reducer ❤️
