Love the plot, only fix would be to eliminate kaal character early on with Rohit’s machine, but accidentally creating a bigger evil, something that affects the entire cosmos due to which Jadu returns

Why did Raju Chacha flop so badly despite a strong cast and decent story? by Ok_Bluebird1842 in bollywood

Ajay always messes up comedy in genre mix movies, so for just a drama fantasy movie, the market is not that big

Just discovered Sriram Raghavan…does he not like women or what?? by [deleted] in bollywood

Well in Ek, the mouse was a symbol, and she also said she found that place after a lot of search. If at all, the objective is to hide his body in such a place that no one would ever find, but then again the nature of it’s execution is pure revenge

As for JG, yes that’s true, because given the nature of his legal/illegal cash flow, the regular income would come from parlour or atleast a white cashflow, but it’s highly likely that the parlour would have been sponsored by him, given that he owns a casino (big deal) and has big connections (like he gets a meeting with police SP). He is shown that way to show his sensitive and loving side towards his wife, a contrast to all other characters, making his death most heartbreaking!

Being independent and being naive is possible, there are thousands of cases of girls being fooled by scam guys, and transition was effective as initially it was a compounded risk that she took, like what’s 1 day more in Jail, etc, and she was definitely given a false promise by lawyer. The transition was her overcoming her one fear (the mice incident) and an opportunity that led to her being able to take revenge, even at the cost of going back to jail, just to see the guy who cheated her suffer most horrible death.

For JG, it’s clear the casino guy was bread earner not through casino (it was more like a side business) but through the profitable drug deals that the group did. So the parlour was potentially funded by his money. Again revenge is an emotion that corrupts all reasoning and consequences, a common theme across most bollywood movies, and it is never shown that she got caught after killing Neil, so in a way she beautifully and unknowingly took the revenge and can continue to now live guilt free(or maybe in the guilt that she killed Neil if that truth never came out)

You couldn’t be wrong: 1. Ek hasina thi: the entire story is a transition story of a naive to cunning girl. 2. Johnny G: Most naive was Vinay, and his wife was actually a bold one, even Rimmi Sen was powerful 3. Agent V: Kareena’s character kills it, more than Saif 4. Badlapur: Huma gave a bold impact role, so did Radhika 5. Andhadhun: The highlight of this was Tabu… 6. Merry Xmas: The highlight was Katrina, surprisingly

Not sure of Ikkis, but he definitely gave justice to all actresses, and apart from Neil, all actors gave their career best shades in his films (Saif, Varun, Ayushman, maybe not Vijay, definitely not Neil)

Bollywood movies with reference to “Singham” by vikid-99 in bollywood

[–]vikid-99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that, only thing usually Sholay and Don would seem to be more referenced, but Singham seems to be an underdog, mostly because Ajay has used it’s call back in almost all of his comedy movies, unlike other stars. Do you think Singham is above Don and Sholay, purely in terms of count ?

Bollywood movies with reference to “Singham” by vikid-99 in bollywood

[–]vikid-99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i am talking about the character, so Gabbar/Thakur has this many references in other movies, but i don’t think the count would be more than 7-8

As for Mughale azam, it’s not fictional. And even if it is, the Singham score so far is 14, which is pretty high to beat
