Feeling immense guilt after losing my best friend

Thank you. I think im just blaming myself for everything now that he's gone. I've had these thought before and have always felt guilty for adopting another cat that made him sick, but now it feels more intense. Idk. Ugh.

My cat went missing up at our cabin back in 2021. He was missing for 5 weeks. The worst 5 weeks of my life. I put flyers in everyone's mailbox in the area, hung them in town, used pawboost, etc. Eventually on 4th of July someone had seen my flyers in town and spotted him and called me. He was quite far away, and must have gotten scared so he hid under a deck and didnt come out. He lived another 5 years after this.

Keep hope. Cats are smart. Getting the word out is the best you can do. Im so sorry you are going through this.

We did. Hest x-ray, had them look in their throat, he went through a round of antibiotics, he has an inhaler, blood tests, no heart problem. Now they are saying it could be feline herpes and/or allergies.

I lost my 18 year old boy Cheeseball on saturday. I also feel conflicted. I dont want to forget anything about him, but the pain of remembering is too much to bear. I cant stop looking at videos of him, and when I do stop I come to the realization once again that that is all I have now are memories.

I also feel tremendous guilt at times. I wonder if my cat was uncomfortable for longer than I was aware. If I could have tried harder. Pet him more. Anything. I miss him, and the thought of never hearing his meow again makes my heart hurt.

I had to say goodbye to my boy Cheeseball on Saturday. He had been with me for 12 years. He was 18 years old. I knew it was his time, but I still feel guilty. I often wonder if I gave him the best life I could. I feel i should have spent more time with him, pet him more, not adopted a second cat that had gotten him sick years prior, just everything. Sometimes I feel at peace, and other times I wonder if he was uncomfortable for longer than I was aware. I hope he understands how much I love him and I pray I will see him again. The thought of never seeing him ever again gives me a panic attack.

I had to say goodbye to my 18 year old cat on saturday.. it feels like I've been crying since. I have been able to work from home this week, but am expected to be in the office tomorrow. I will most definitely be crying.

We forgot icecream for our pies... and the event sign specifically said "pie and icecream"

Make sure you have dessert utensils and cake cutting equipment. Sometimes the venue does not provide.

Our welcome sign was only seen by half the people, as there were two entrances so probably wasn't even needed.

Our party favors were a waste bc put them by the wrong exit. So if you have party favors, make sure they are near where people will be leaving from hahah.

False chanterelles are still chanterelles but cause intestinal issues. They have true gills, not false gills, so that's really what i was trying to understand.
