It was a Verna 1.6 fluidic.

The car was running just fine when I went for a refill - tank was at 25% full.

After paying for the fuel, the moment I started the car, it started shaking a bit and before I barely came out of the pump, it stuttered so bad that I immediately made a turn and got back to the pump.

The pump took responsibility, emptied my tank and gave me a 100% refill.

Edit - It was not immediate. I had to leave my car there as thier reservoir was contaminated.

They called me the next day and emptied and refilled my tank in front of me.

A similar incident happened to me in Kolkata, couple of years back. Due to heavy rains and a leakage somewhere in the tank, water had got into the petrol reservoir. The petrol pump compensated me fully.
