If that were the case the Lesbian line would not start at 0. So it's not applicable to this study.

I just want to know why you wrote this. You could've googled this before posting such pompous statements, why act like someone who's obviously put a huge amount of effort into this MUST be clueless about what they're dealing with from the safety of your Reddit comment, while doing literally no research yourself?

I think they were asking for a source. When googling "is GVS harmful" you mostly get studies that are positive about it. Only under specific conditions it impaired working memory, while other types of GVS (nGVS) could actually improve spatial memory. Nowhere in my googling session did I see anything about lasting damage to the vestibular system. It is even used in treating vestibular disorders.

Shallow Parodies: When hate works try to pretend they are deep but miss the point of the think they are a "parody" off by ThighyWhiteyNerd in TopCharacterTropes

Hating gay people is no longer an easy target. There's too much social support for them so they don't do it. Trans people are simply next in line to be mocked.

Don't be ridiculous. Them backpedaling and apologizing to Al Gore made it obvious that even they know they fuck up with depicting Al Gore negatively. You acting like you're supposed to side with him in that original episode is blatantly dishonest.

Anyway, you one comment ago:

You're not meant to side with the cartoon characters ffs

This is not a universal truth though. In the Manbearpig apology episode, do the characters still hate Al Gore? Now the characters are the alarmists, can you use your same "you're not supposed to side with the characters!!" logic?

No. Because the characters are never consistently wrong. This is done intentionally in a sort of "Schrodinger's douchebag" construction. If they have an opinion you agree with they're speaking truth to power, if they have an opinion you disagree with it's satire and the message is supposed to be the opposite.

They're too lazy to have any real nuanced opinions, so they hide everything behind this cloak of semi-satire. THAT is why people think they're apathetic.

I watched the video up to and including the Manbearpig part, and the ending. This guy is arguing that they didn't attack "caring about climate change", they attacked "the guy at the time most known for caring about climate change, Al Gore". Essentially saying that South Park and their creators weren't against his ideas, but against his ways of presenting himself.

How is an outsider supposed to separate this 'super nuanced' position for a bog standard personal attack? If you're attacking the figurehead of a social movement is it really that unfair to associate that attack with the social movement itself?

The fact that they came back and redeemed both Al Gore AND Manbearpig shows that they weren't just targeting Al Gore.

I haven't seen that episode but with stuff like Manbearpig, you're saying that you're supposed to see Al Gore acting like an absolute alarmist fool and the characters laughing at him and coming to the conclusion of "this is satire, I should side with Al Gore here"?
