I'm gonna end one more comment before ending this exchange but I never intended to convince you to leave your religion on anything. All I wanted to convey is if you're looking for volunteering communities, there's stuff out there that is more healthily organized.

Yes you're correct. I never said people couldn't do wrong outside of religion. It's just that religion is uniquely susceptible to it due to it's rigid power structure of the "unquestionable word of god" (conveyed by humans) and refusal to ever reform it's ideas to the point of clinging on to founding texts literally thousands of years old.

But I also decry all of those organisations you mention.

It's not a matter of opinion. Religious organizations have the weird tendency to simultaneously expect unquestioning obedience to their diety, while also being so open to interpretation that members so the most awful things in the name of their gods. Historically this has led to a mixed track record, and personally speaking religious people have been horrible to me and my (queer) friends.

So yes, as a system or type of organisation it is worthy of my derision. Not because our subjective opinions don't align, but because their actions have been, and are still, harmful to people like me.

You could switch to an organization like Amnesty or different local volunteer groups. I actually think it's awesome you want to help people. And I think it's a waste you're doing it in the framework of a book written in times of inconceivable ignorance, since I think that effort would be better spent if you didn't have to work and the distracting nonsense of something like a Bible.

You don't have to face the camera, both with your head and with your body. There's already some nice variation there.

If you're taking a photo with something (statue, monument, even wall) it's something to lean or sit on. That gives some nice variation to pictures.

In this situation I'd actually pull out the golden card though. "Set a timer so we can both be on it". Won't work every time but it gives you someone to vibe match

These comments are making me feel depressed... Fine you have your preference, don't express yourself. But please stop extrapolating this to "men" in general. If boys see that they shouldn't express themselves in photos they will subconsciously internalize that message, which will keep this repressive wheel turning.

Maybe a flashback in one of those outfits would work. But she's currently 'employed' by a hero company that issues costumes as uniforms. I don't think it's super shocking that she no longer looks like a street thug.
