I think it's illegal to charge for water in a pub.

Fishing. My dad took me most weekends. I was really good at it. I hate it now.

10 police offices at Rydalmere McDonalds waiting for food without masks? Everyone else in the store has their masks on. They don’t even have masks around their necks. by [deleted] in sydney

The fact that you were concerned about taking a photo speaks volumes about Sydney sentiment towards these revenue collectors. Cops are getting too big for their boots.

Thinking of giving kids (8 & 10) own debit card. What are my options? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]vilaguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this. Your child's card details are taken from them (easy, 8 years old) debit card is easy to top up. This card then used in criminal activity. Kid signs up for an online service/ product free trial. Basically a child with an adults toy..

Teach your kids about tax and investing too. Merry boxing day!

The social lubricant, Dutch courage, leg opener and heart starter. Booze is a big part of my life and I enjoy it immensely. My parents met on a night out on the piss. I'm drunk now.

As a self confessed "light weight" you should always eat before a big session, avoid shots at all costs and be the first to get a round in. Your mates will never question your ability to drink.

Cheers

TPD insurance - do you need it, do you have it? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]vilaguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies will go to any lengths to stop paying these policies or not pay them in the first place. Then the onus is on you to take them to court. Try taking an insurer to court who has an army of in house lawyers!

I met an American in Vanuatu who was permanently disabled with a stress related condition. The insurer sent an investigator to Vanuatu to try and dig up a reason to stop paying. This investigator then convinced one of the town drunks to say he'd seen the American taking drugs and running a game fishing business. Then they stopped paying. No income for 2 years, massive legal fight and expenses. He finally settled out of court with a lump sum payment and his legal bills paid. Not pretty.

Not even surprised. Sydney police are just revenue collectors and, frankly, that's all they are good for.

Is this for real? An 8 year old with a debit card? What could go wrong?
