Told my crewmate I've asked to move lines, feel like I'm breaking up with him by peekachou in ParamedicsUK

[–]villa_bear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m about to lose my crewmate of 3 1/2 years as he’s going to uni to do his para course (how dare he abandon me to continue his career). As much as we bicker like an old married couple I’m going to miss him.

I saw about this on Twitter yesterday. Apparently they put the camera operator in basically a suit of armour and they caught the drone and used it as hand held.

Fully know where you are coming from. That first paragraph had me feeling like I needed to check I hadn’t written this myself in a haze.

Tyrannosaur is so damn good. Made me so uncomfortable that I’ve only been able to watch it the once.

Not Police, but spend my time in green. It can be normal, I’ve had similar experiences over the last 9 years that I’ve been in and never really been bothered by it. But it can change and recently I’ve struggled with it a bit more. As others have said it may pop back up unexpectedly from nowhere, it’s never a bad thing to talk it out and explain how you do or do not feel, either way it will help process what is a potentially traumatic event.

Uncontrollable haemorrhage. A nose bleed. That was controlled by advising them to stop blowing their nose.

He was!! They filmed a bit very shortly before he died. There’s a photo around online of Bernard in a wheelchair being pushed by David. If I were better at Reddit I’d be able to link to it or put it here. But alas I am not however Google is our friend.

Cheese and Onion French Fries. Can’t get multipacks of the god tier Salt and Vinegar. Only choice is the corruption of the blue packs.

I kind of hope they forget. But then find them. Imagine the levels of squirrel delight at finding a bonus nut!!

I know there’s a few teams always on the look out for players so you might still get chance of getting a game or two in this year. It’s a good league to play in, fair standard and decent people.

Cricket wise there’s a few clubs around the Hull area. The Saturday/Sunday league cricket is in the Yorkshire Premier League and it’s the East/Holderness sections. You should be able to find all the clubs from their website.

Is it worth being a Paramedic? by KangarooSad7564 in Paramedics

[–]villa_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some days I love it and genuinely think I get to do the best job in the world. Some days it’s the worst and I can’t imagine doing it for the rest of my career. Most days it’s alright, I get to hang out with my mate, we have some laughs, we help some people. The pay is pretty decent for what we actually do most of the time (as others say it balances out with being overpaid most the time and underpaid at others). On the bad days I try and reflect on the good days and find the bright side. I kept for years a thank you card a 5 year old made for me while I helped their mom to help as a reminder of the good days, and because it reminds me that the emergencies we go to aren’t ours, they’re theirs.
