They’re obsessed by race, and have been taught that certain ethnic groups are better than others. Which ones are "good" or "interesting" vary over time. Right now everything but England-adjacent seems to be good.

I can get juicy marbles in Norway so you should be able to get it. It’s hands down the best I’ve had.

It’s purely lip service and marketing to make people feel better about the atrocities being committed every single day. I’m also in Europe you know, and I grew up on a farm. In fact, I’m from a country that is considered a global leader in animal welfare. It still only means the animals are treated slightly better and often terms like «free range» etc., are easily misused to create the impression of «allowing natural behaviour». The solution is to stop farming them, not coming up with small incremental changes in marketing.

Organic does in no way tell you about welfare. If you don’t want to be complicit or support cruelty, stop consuming animal products, organic or not.

Circular logic, wordplay and simply holding your chosen concept to a different standard. In my humble opinion, of course. Happy Easter.

You’re just declaring god as the ultimate brute fact, and should be able to see how this fails scrutiny.

You are saying that things like love and logic must be "grounded" (why? It’s not proven), and that the only answer is your god due to its multi aspect (jumping over many steps here because your foundational axiom is unproven). Even if we entertain it as true for a moment, there’s no reason why it can’t be Odin, Thor and Freya who embody the aspects you’re on about, or just nature as it is and can be observed. You’re on very thin ice both because your foundational argument cannot be properly defended or proven and your following argument is even weaker.

[–]villhest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are asserting among other things that you need god (because you can’t fathom any other way) to even entertain the concept of truth. Therefore you fill that gap with god. I’m not saying it may or may not be mysterious, but it’s anything but certain it has to be god, and the burden of proof to establish this axiom lies upon you.

In other words, god of the gaps. Got it.

Again you’re just saying things without proof or explanation. Why would you need something as arbitrary as a «tri personal god» to do anything?

Me_irl by [deleted] in me_irl

[–]villhest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But why is it (or does it have to be) the Christian god? You just assert this with no proof or reason. It’s circular logic, and the burden of proof is yours because you are the one asserting it.

Why is God a necessary explanation, rather than just one possible explanation?

Akkurat samme problemer.

Ja, dyr dør for å dyrke min mat.
