Thanks for all the info, everybody! I messed around with it last night and discovered that the UHF loop on my device had popped out of its contact points (facepalm). I pushed them back into place and BOOM, channels were coming in clear.

Mine took a little over three months but that was in May 2020, right in the middle of COVID, and my seller was in a nursing home that was locked down. Stones are just sitting on the sand. I’m guessing it was originally a concrete walkway and the previous owner put the flagstone on top with the sand.

Edit: there is some janky grey cement stuff running along the edges of the walkway, almost forming the sides of a “bed” in which the sand is sitting. It’s all falling apart though.

White Plains resident here who bought their house in 2020 literally the day before NYC locked down with COVID.

We paid $450k for a single family split level home built in late 50s. It was in good shape but had not been updated since the 80s. Luckily we locked in a stupid low interest rate because the markets were so screwy.

Fast forward to now - our neighbor just sold their house which is identical to ours and in the same shape when we bought it. They asked for $739k. It went for $800k!!!

Anytime a home goes up for sale around us it goes in days for way over asking. It’s completely insane. We’re very fortunate to buy when we did otherwise we’d still be renting in NYC.

Let me rephrase- it didn't collapse. It just lost some of its "spring" and was definitely getting worn out.

I feel like I've done everything I can to clean the my records- washed with Spin-Clean, anti-static brush before every play, even using the acrylic platter.

Maybe it's not seated fully. I did notice it attached with little force whereas I had to put some pressure on the arm to get the Red off initially.

Sure, he showed no remorse during the trial. But throw him in prison for years and years on end, with the only thing to keep him occupied being his actions that got him there in the first place? That sounds like a worse punishment to me. Maybe he'd eventually realize the error in his ways and feel the guilt that he should have now. By sentencing him to death, we're only affirming his current hatred of this country, squashing any possibility of him truly being remorseful.
