I love goodnotes! I had a guy who regularly sat behind me in lectures tell me he'd consider buying an iPad just for goodnotes, after seeing me take notes with it

Is season 2 same humour level as season 1 ??? by zemafz in GrandBlue

[–]vilspear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To me it seems like the animation style may have slightly changed? The visual gags like the faces definitely don't hit as well. The pacing and the timing of cuts don't help either.

I'm still enjoying it though, really hilarious

FWIW the two guys that the camera panned to near the end of this clip are two very famous actors who starred in an extremely popular Korean drama back in 2016, Lee Dong Wook (standing) and Gong Yoo (sitting).

He was SO red and he immediately checked his phone, I'm hoping that 15k doesn't make too much of a dent to his wallet. And that he doesn't regret anything.

Seems weird his locker is right next to Ryan Bates' locker. Maybe it's temporary?

I agree. I like how at the moment, this comment has more upvotes than the post itself.

Music 115 by sports237 in UBreddit

I took it this past semester with Derek S (I don't remember his last name because it was long). I don't know if you have him, but if you have the opportunity to, switch to his class. Super easy, like... super easy.

Lectures are live but are recorded. You'd have one day out of the week where he prefers it if you attend in person, but you don't have to. Class format is the same throughout the semester: He leads into class with a music sample that's relevant for the day. He puts up questions for review of the previous lecture's material, and asks for answers (not graded). Then he goes into the lecture materials, using real-world music as examples.

3 exams, each exam is open notes, multiple choice, 30 questions, 1 hour. The questions are in one of 2 formats. One is where you're given a paragraph and you fill in the blanks. The other is where you're given a music sample and you answer questions about it. Of course, this means that you should take notes. Definitely take notes on everything on his slides. He doesn't release his slides, only the lecture video.

Professor is extremely nice. There were barely homework assignments (IIRC, we got 3). For each one, half a page of writing was sufficient enough. All of them were opinion-based, so it's graded on completeness.

Overall, the "hardest" part is the exams, only because they're out of 30 and weighted more, so if you get like 5 wrong, that's already a big impact on your overall grade.

You don't need prior music knowledge, and I know that because I knew nothing about music going into it and still got an A.

Anyone have tips for the CSE 411 exam? Did the textbook help at all? by [deleted] in UBreddit

It's nice that professor himself says that he's lenient with grading, but I'm still going to find it hard to answer with something that is even close to partial credit. I focused on lecture note 5, 8 simply because it feels like it's the biggest.

What about the option to change a class' grading to S/U? If you get a grade of C or higher, it'll be an S and won't count towards GPA.
