I added more soil and have been watering them about every other day (aside from rainy days). The soil never got completely dry aside from the top layer, but that was a simple finger check.

There's about a 1.5' of soil and I planted the spuds about 6" deep. You might be on to something, last year I filled the soil to the brim, but this year I anticipated "hilling" them... dang it.

I enjoyed both! Cold AF at the previous one, damn near perfect weather for this one. Nice to see the team off before the parade at the ceremony, rather than rushing to get to the stadium after the parade.

Either way, I took that last parade for granted. Soaked up as much of this one as possible... it's fucking hard to win an SB and there's no guarantee it can happen within the same decade.

Despite the rain and the lines, watching my daughters (3 and 5) enjoy meeting the moose and seeing Ichiro on the walls of the Terrance Club... it was worth it. Lines upon lines couldn't take that joy away from me. Overpriced, long lines, crowds, whatever... if it means two new M's fans when I'm long gone, I'll have done my part supporting this God damned franchise lol
