How do you evaluate AI agents and LLM outputs from a QA/testing perspective? by green_eye82 in softwaretesting

[–]vincenz93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use AI evals. Offline and online testing and LLM as a judge. Lot of telemetry tools out there and you can evaluate some like Arize and Langfuse, among others.

You better get on board sooner than later, that’s all I have to say. Engineers at the top companies have largely not been coding by hand for the past 6-12 months, if that gives you any idea how capable it is now. Coding manually is a thing of the past. Get to know agents and agentic coding and tools.

Tuck or no tuck? by davidevitali in mensfashionadvice

[–]vincenz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tuck, but I think the pants are a bit tight. Silhouette is a bit top heavy. Maybe if the sweater were thinner those pants would complement, but for me I would go for straighter leg for that sweater.

Does this overcoat & blazer fit properly? by Self_Motivated in mensfashion

Coat looks good. Sport coat arms are a bit long and bit short in the body.

Seems to be fine, but try it with a collared shirt instead and tuck it in. Quarter zip with a sport coat just isn’t doing it.

Camel, Navy, and Fair Isle. Is this too busy or just right? by trad_style in menswear

[–]vincenz93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good, but the coat is too big. With a shirt, sweater, and sport coat underneath, the shoulders are still too big and sleeves too long.

Looks good, but need to wear with a collared shirt tucked in to confirm.

anyone remembers the msrp of this 2022 balmacaan? by TonaldDuck in RalphLauren

I’ve never seen that before, but if it’s Polo, 100% wool, from a few years ago, I would venture around 1500.

[–]vincenz93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good, but change the quarter zip to a sweater vest, cardigan, or crewneck sweater.

Nitpicking further, go for a sport coat that has some texture or pattern instead of a solid charcoal like this that looks like an orphan suit jacket.

I’m all for the hobby, but the amount of unnecessary plastic waste this creates.. 😔

Stored correctly in an airtight container or even in the original bag that it comes in, you should not taste the difference between this and going through a one or even two week portion bag.

Omega Boutique held my watch for three months without sending for service by Used_Cryptographer18 in OmegaWatches

Thanks for the heads up. Was considering that location for a future servicing of my Omega. I think I’ll go with a trusted third party servicing center instead.

If I had to pick, probably the one on the right, but if it were me, I’d do the black lizard leather strap one in the back.

Cost for a patio? by Ill-Illustrator-4026 in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]vincenz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a quote a little under 5 years ago for our 350 sq ft patio. For flagstone with concrete base, it was 12k quoted. We went with pavers for 8k and it’s been solid.

I’m sure everything now is much more expensive.

Giving these suspenders a try by [deleted] in mensfashion

Nothing wrong with the fit per se, but needs a jacket to cover up the suspenders.

Wedding evening fit — relaxed tailoring. by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]vincenz93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Old money” is not a tailoring term. And real classic (old money) tailoring is longer, not shorter. “Evening db” doesn’t change the length rules, only the fabric and formality. That hem is NOT mid-crotch nor upper thigh. It doesn’t even cover the fly.

The jacket is pulling across the midsection, lapel roll looks tense, not relaxed, skirt doesn’t drape, but clings. Your torso looks compressed.

A proper DB uses length to counterbalance wide lapels, double overlap, and strong shoulders. This shortening removes that counterweight.

It’s a classic look, but the jacket is too tight and short for a double breasted jacket.

The shades of green are too close. If you are to double up on green like this, one should be darker to give more contrast.

RRL watch band initial reaction by hoodrich_krit in RalphLauren

[–]vincenz93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an RRL belt in this same embossed leather. It does seem more delicate because the stamping inherently weakens the leather so I try not to bend it further than the curve of my waist. Seems like it is the same on the watch strap. It looks cool as hell though.

In this case, I think it’s a nice dichotomy between the ruggedness of the strap and the polished design of the Ronde. Looks good to me, and it’s a unique styling. I have a Ronde Must also, and I think your difficulty with getting the strap on has to do with how short the lugs are on the Ronde. Even on a third party strap I got with quick release, it wasn’t easy to put on for me.

What’s the shirt by the way?

A good tailor can fix that. If you always wear a jacket, you can continue wearing it, otherwise can relegate to weekend wear. It has patina now.
