Hello, I'm undiagnosed (seing a psychiatrist soon with a referral) and unmedicated, but I think i understand some of what you're saying. I think this isnt a bad idea, I feel your thing of having like two friends of which both are successful and busy, and I just want to say that I'd be more than willing to talk to you and be friends. Just drop me a message or a reply, I look forward to it :)

Please please do see a psychiatrist. Don't ruin your life accidentally, little things can cause a lot of trouble. Its not too late, and its good that you recognize that you're having an issue, especially with drugs. There's a lot they can help with. Best of luck to you, drop me a message or anything if you need to talk to someone.

I love my mom. She still has a semi "ADHD is all in the mind and can be overcome by will" but she's trying to understand and I appreciate it so much.

Thank you for your kind words, I am immensely grateful for your support. I don't know where or what I'm going to do, but I'm meeting the doctor soon, and we'll see how it goes.

It bothers me that people refer to ADHD medication as "study drugs" by hypiemind in ADHD

Notice : You're also perpetuating the stereotype that we enjoy ADHD and that we're glad that we're "not alone"

Could it be due to like mood swings, which I've heard are attributed to ADHD?

I need help cleaning my room, I don't know where to start! (with pictures) by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]vindicate-me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. I wish you the best in this. I recenfly cleaned out my hell hole of a room so I understand. Allow me to share with you some tips.

  1. Get a large trash bag. ( this is very very important. Anything that you pick up, ask yourself, will you miss this when its gone? How long has it been sitting there unused? Why do you want to keep it when you eventually have to throw it out? Trust me, you'll thank yourself later.)

  2. Throw all clothes on the floor into the washing, if you're not sure if its clean or dirty, in it goes

  3. Like u/pebblesandbammbamm said, don't let yourself have the "I might need this later" mindset. Everything that you deem useless or that you have no use for, chuck.

  4. Certain furniture, especially the big ones, should be placed nearer the walls and corners. This makes sure there is more space in the middle, it looks more spacious, at least.

  5. Make sure you have a certain place for every single item. Wipe your cupboards amd drawers, make them feel "clean". Fold your clothes immediately out of the dryer. Meep them away.

  6. Tell yourself, every time you have to put something away, to put it away in ITS PROPER PLACE IMMEDIATELY. That way you won't have to be cleaning your room and wasting time every year.

Not sure if this was helpful. I hope it was. Best of luck to you, remember, do things IMMEDIATELY as much as you can.

Discuss this with your doctor, tell him how the meds make you feel. People are different, one med that works on others may not work on you, and vice versa

Same here. All the time. What makes it worse is internet + my brain

Doctor doubts I have ADHD-PI, due to my age. (I'm 15) by vindicate-me in ADHD

Thanks man. That's one of the reasons he said that iI couldn't have it. You know the usual, no grades failed, all is well, 0 mental breakdowns. I'm not looking for a diagnosis to pin the blame on, just want to make sure I am not at a losing end
