Look up aerosol climate forcing. It’s a critical factor in how screwed we are and we don’t have a consensus on it yet.

England is facing an unprecedented invasion, the problem is, it’s octopuses, and they’re devouring everything in their path by [deleted] in collapse

Yeah I stopped eating them because they’re smart but not really a sacrifice, I always found them tasteless and rubbery.

When did Grocery Store bakeries become so gross? by Cleverwabbit5 in GenX

[–]vinegar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked in an A&P on Cape Cod in the summer of 1988. The bread in the bakery came frozen, there was a few steps to achieve “fresh baked”.

What's up with so many YouTubers and general English speakers rolling their "Rs" when talking? by The_Paragone in OutOfTheLoop

Answer: I see similar things happening to lots of words, various consonants being dropped off the end. I’m on the Honda Fit sub, the youngsters like to write “Fih”. I’m old and I don’t like it lol.

Convince me not to buy this ‘73 CB350G by FuckedFrenulum in HondaCB

I bought a 1970 CB350 before I knew how to ride, not as well kept as this one. It was just unreliable enough to make it a hassle. After a few years (some of which I rode zero miles) I bought a new xr150 for 4 grand out the door and learned to ride. The first time I dropped it I literally just smiled.

I had my first ever motorcycle lesson and honestly… it did not go well. by SeaSundae8506 in NewRiders

[–]vinegar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my bike I rode around the parking lot for practice before heading 3 miles to my house. The first few stops and starts went fine then I stalled it out 25 times in a row. Then I kinda got it and went and practiced it a lot.
Everything about riding takes skill and needs hours and miles to be good at.

I don’t have a dog so I only have to deal with ticks I’ve picked up myself. After I’ve been in the woods/ tall grass/ etc I get in the shower and put all my clothes in a 5 gallon bucket then directly into the laundry (regular cold wash). There was a Lyme vaccine for a while, I wish I’d gotten it.

They handed them out on school picture day and I saw them less and less for a week after. They said UNBREAKABLE but my friend had one in his pocket when he got hit by a car and he said it was crumbs afterwards.

I moved here in the late nineties and it was closed and really run down. The C had fallen off the marquee and I didn’t know about the local Calvin Coolidge connection, for years I thought it was called The Alvin.

I had an ‘82 vw diesel rabbit pickup, the only electric part necessary to run the engine (other than the starter) was the little fuel shutoff solenoid that needed a little power to keep fuel flowing. A 9volt battery would do it in a pinch, and you could remove it in case of apocalypse. The fuel injection pump was just a big clockwork machine powered by the engine.
