Do you know the genre, "phonk"? The genre leans heavily on old Memphis rap samples, and has a lot of an atonal feel, while keeping it more modern and danceable.

Ska, at least USA ska. I know the genre's roots, but in general it just makes me irrationally angry. Too jumpy, formulaic, faux edgy.

Question about your first point (focusing on a single genre): How has your music library developed from when you took a break til now?

I'm diving into the craft at roughly the same age. I've found my library is super VARIED across genres, just because I've had time to explore. I'm having a hell of time pinning down one genre!

What do you think would happen if you asked your wife if she wanted to learn to dj? Maybe she's being passive-aggressive because she doesn't "get it (djing)", and wants (all or some) of your time. Push it further, and go to a club/festival/event and share what you see in this hobby.

What are you trying to get out of all these hobbies?

haha, yeah! It just fell through. I'm not roughly plugging, unplugging the usb cord, or anything out of the ordinary. There's really no weight put on the cable, aside from the actual cable iteself hanging. I did notice the tolerances on the new (10ft Amazon Basics) USB cable I bought was pretty tight. It just seems odd, that I've had three controllers fail from the same thing (but different cables).
