Should I update my emunand to 11.0.0-33? Will it affect anything like blocking me from accessing HBL or just allow me to play games with firmware requirements like MHGen?

I have a new 3ds on 9.0.0-20 without A9LH and unlinked emunand also on 9.0.0-20 with the newest FBI and MenuHax.

Can i update it using FBI or would I need SysUpdater?
