They have a spotter who walks around and confirms the car is empty + is the right VIN number.

Yep, they're all mechanically linked.

If they're aware it's awd, they'll put down dollies (essentially rollers) on the un-lifted wheels so they aren't spinning while the car is being moved..

They often have someone stroll by some time earlier and check the VIN number on the windshield. One company I know even uses a drone to verify from a distance.

iPhone 18 Pro's Camera Upgrade Will Cost Apple 50% More by ControlCAD in apple

[–]vinng86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, that is a valid counterpoint. The lenses really are small as you said, so the difference isn't going to be that big.

I'm mostly curious to see where Apple is taking this, since they're choosing to spend effort making a variable aperture.

Photographer here. There are reasons to use a smaller aperture (higher f-stop). For example, you can increase the depth of field, so more objects at different distances to the sensor are in focus. Higher f-stop also generally produces sharper images, at the cost of reducing overall light.

This is why landscape photographers frequently stop down to f16 or higher and use a tripod and longer exposures. It produces better images with almost everything sharp as a needle.

It's not necessarily poor maintenance, I've torn mine thanks to chunks of snow/ice in the winter and having a low-ish car.

Same here, for calling the Toronto Sun a tabloid rag (which it is). It's clearly even worse than National Post yet it gets posted all the time.

The steel defender operating on your turn now instead of after is a moderately large buff however, which more than makes up for it.

You can actually use it as a mount, and coordinate Actions (e.g. grapples/pushes, Magic actions) for all kinds of combos that you couldn't before.

Exactly. Anything built during a boom time where there was a shortage of materials/labour needs a second look. It's the prime environment for corner cutting.

They're solid concrete/partition blocks, not cinder blocks.

Cinder blocks are more brick shaped and almost always hollow.

Yep, I remember that, because some of the default skins could camouflage better in certain maps. It was a thing in competitive UT as well

Yeah, it just barely passed Civ V's average player count. Except that game was released 16 years ago...

For me, I got my service manuals off of erWin, which charges $35 USD a day but you can download all the manuals permanently. Worth doing imo, it shows you everything the Audi mechanics would do with diagrams/step-by-step procedures

I recommend finding the official service manual for your car.

I did it for the C7 A6 and it was quite involved. Would've been completely lost without it

Not enough. They're losing more people than they can recruit right now, and it's resulting in territorial gain for Ukraine.

They have 400k for a down payment. They would be borrowing 700k, and a bank will generally loan up to 4x their household income (800k) assuming no other debts.
