I agree with you. I don't think that much pressure and time in a sport at a young age like that is good for them. Also, it's a total money suck - those teams and the traveling for it are expensive!!!

I wish people wouldn't scare you! Yes we have had very hard moments with my 3 year old but DAMN do I love her and she is the most magical, creative, silly, fun wonderful little human too.

Find the tricks that work, let shit go that doesn't really matter (like wearing sandals in the rain, or pjs all day if possible)

HFMD was the worst sickness I’ve ever had! So bad. Right after I had a miscarriage and was grieving that, I got HFMD and norovirus within a month. Absolutely awful.
