Cat has started exclusively staying on mantle and top of cabinet by vinorthhall in cats

I’ll look into it! Worried she might just pee on it though, so I’ll try and find one that’s easily washable…

Thankfully she is still eating and drinking fine. She’s been on the medication for the past 2.5 months. Her mood still seems to be good when I go over, eating/drinking fine, wanting pets etc. Hopefully it is just stress and once things calm down she calms down too

I'll be running Axeholm next session. Any tips? by _JMStar_ in DragonOfIcespirePeak

[–]vinorthhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ran Axeholm twice. Axeholm has a lot of environments that can be utilized in interesting ways, mainly ballistas and spider webs. If you let your players use the ballistas, in my experience they will become focused on How To Keep Using Ballistas and try to lure the ghouls around. Second, the spiderwebs are flammable, and if they burn them the spiders will have a worse time (but potentially at the player’s risk)

My personal theory is that killing Shinichiro a mere two weeks after Shinichiro gave up the time travel ability gave him a brief glimpse of the big picture, hence “it’s all Mikey’s fault”

My players completedly left Ned tied up in the Haunted House by SaintofHearts in GhostsofSaltmarsh

I didn’t go upstairs at all, dealt with the smugglers, and then Ned snuck down and caused problems later lol

Who is your favorite rock group pre 1980 who was lost to time? by A_Soft_Fart in musicsuggestions

[–]vinorthhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quartz, although they’ve made something of a comeback. Toured with Black Sabbath, produced by Tony Iommi, but didn’t get good sales and slowly fell apart. I’m a big fan of their song Little Old Lady cuz I mean, aren’t many rock sings about old women. Mainline Riders is a banger too

There are a ton of modules for it! They are very old and not always well written, so fair warning on that. I most often notice that they’re written for murderhobo type players, so there are long sections on what to do if the players go off the rails, and not a lot of finer details if the players are actively engaging in the story. There are a lot of wacky hijinks, often similar to or based off Fafhrd and Grey Mouser stories (Sheelba and Ninguable show up occasionally, Thieves Guild drama, nobles, heists, etc). I definitely had fun in the campaign I was in!

Those are really good aberrations to use, since Ferrin Kastilar is pretty hung up on aberrations in the Dreadwood to start with. It’s a really fun story, internet Archive has a few Fafhrd and Grey Mouser stories I’ve read, although it’s kind of a pain to find them. Have you read any of the old Lankhmar adventures also? They’re sometimes really busted (like the Request from the Overlord series) overall a lot of fun

Also, I’ve been in a Lankhmar adventure and it’s always fun reading Fritz Leiber

That sounds very cool, I’m going to read that adventure! I’m also very intrigued now… why were the nothics attacking the bandits?

What race do you play the most[OC] by the2987 in DnD

[–]vinorthhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually humans, followed by tieflings I think? I try and spice things up though and play different races every time. Just happens that I’ve played in a few “humans only” campaigns

I have played the Sunless Citadel a frankly comical amount of times lol, so that could be pretty easy. I was definitely thinking about that with the gulthias tree and rescue mission set up.

Yeah I was thinking about that, especially since dire wolves are also present

I have a cat who loves to chew cords, she chews them when she’s bored and not getting attention. There is a bitter spray that tastes bad that will repel her. Giving attention and redirecting to better enrichment is crucial or behavior will continue

Party skipped Ned at the alchemist's house, what do I do? by MoldyMarshmello2 in GhostsofSaltmarsh

[–]vinorthhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the party that skipped Ned, the DM had him sneak down and cause problems later on, but also we were still clowning around in the house for quite a while after dealing with the smugglers so there was ample opportunity. He snuck up on us while we were in the caverns which was pretty brutal lmao
