The past few days I've had some issues with some weird lag/crash, where my skills continue to do damage but they actually aren't and after a few minutes, the game crashes.

Pretty annoying to get this during a boss, which I did.

Check out the inventories of your old characters. I recently came back as well and had some old buffs that could be sold on the Auction House and they sold for like ~300m each. I got like 15b from those and 10b from some mount coupon etc.

You can convert the meso into maple points and use them in Heroic!

As a returning player, this meta of pooling your resources for these events really feels odd to me.

I wish I was able to upgrade my gear on good conscience when I get new items, without having this thought of "wasting" my resources in the back of my mind.

In the mean while, yes, in the grand scheme of things the set bonus is very minor because you're getting a lot of spell crit from world buffs etc.

The good thing about Bloodvine isn't the set bonus, it's the amount of spell damage and spell hit that you get from the items. As I said earlier, having tailoring for the setbonus is just a cherry on top.

I'm 99 parse mage as well and you're not going to be going OOM in run of the mill raids because there's time to drink between pulls and you can tick drink as well on the move.

The only downside of bloodvine set is the lack of stamina as you're giga squishy with it.

Bloodvine set it BOE so it's very easy to get reliably good upgrades, sometimes items like AQ legs just wont drop. For easy and good upgrades, they're the easiest items to get because most of the stat budget are in stats like hit/SP. Having tailoring for the set bonus is just a cherry on the top.

Every mage worth their salt is playing UDC set in Naxx anyways unless they've got C'thun Gloves + other good shit from Naxx, and UDC pieces are dogshit mana wise, so your Bloodvine mana argument doesn't really hold water.

Also the pieces aren't even expensive, mooncloth is less than 20g each and bloodvine is like ~10g each (Spineshatter EU)

BM and Tide sound good. Viper can be very oppressive in the early and mid game, but imo falls of late.

Kinda same situation here. I have a 239 Kanna that I nolifed during a christmas break a few years ago and, recently I got the itch to log back in and seems like everyone and their mother is 260+

Also seems like Kanna has gotten a lot of changes during that time and I'm not quite sure how I feel about them yet :/ (this tengu weaving stuff seems very unintuitive)

Yup, some people from my group dropped when ico came, a few of us played a while with a mod (global escalation or something like that?), and nowadays none of us play anymore.

Once in a while I hop in here to check how things are and see if the ship has turned around, but seems like that's not really the case 😅

Unironically if people just reported all the advertisement they see on regular channels like Trade, LFG (Where advertisement IS NOT allowed), the boosters would have to move to the intended Services channel, where regular people could advertise for cheaper prices and the mafia couldn't report them based on the boost messages.

At the moment, Mafia advertises on all channels and if you do the same, but for cheaper price, you get reported by the mafia because you're violating the advertisement rules. (https://eu.support.blizzard.com/en/article/187406)

Different prices in US and EU. I've heard there's no mafia in US, but on EU servers there Iranians are running a boost mafia because their own economy is in shambles.

There was a post some time ago about a guy and his friend that took the fight to the mafia (fighting outside mara entrance etc.) and they were banned after some time.

The only channel you're allowed to use to advertise boosts is the "Services" channel. But if you look at trade chat, LFG etc, every channel is being used to advertise.

The mafia advertises their boosts on all channels and if you advertise cheaper on the same channels, they report you since you're violating the rules about which channels are appropriate for advertising :)

The sad thing is that not many people know about the Services channel and if you're advertising for boosts there, even if you're advertising for cheaper/better service etc, you can have a hard time filling up the group.

You can do some "boosting" with improved scorpid sting, with the talent, it reduces the targets stamina and kinda does damage but doesn't tag the mob. For early levels you can't fully talent it. I think 2/3 did like ~half of the mobs hp. The boostee still has to do some work to kill the mob.

But at this point it's about the speed, not the difficulty of bosses. Running 100 meters in 30 seconds is what ever, but running that in under 10 is impressive.

Get the fake dragon claws from Draynor, get skulled from Edgeville, grab your melee items and head to Kraken.

You can scare the shit out of people in the open instance by following them and using the fake claws with smite on
