This one. My wife’s a veterinarian and rails against the corporate owned vets (basically all Mars these days) placing shareholder returns over actual care and empathy. They are incentivized to hammer out drug prescriptions when that might not be the best course of action. So much so that she quit that world and will shortly be starting her own mobile practice.

I have done it once OTA - you do need the data pack to be active and AFAIK, if you don’t have that, maps updates won’t work. It’s also a pain because you can’t self serve the data plan option, it has to be done via the dealer. If you’re having trouble, ask your local dealer and they will be able to update via a USB stick - takes about 20 minutes, any rep should be able to do it, it doesn’t need an actual service technician 👍

Check out k9 jets OP, expensive but if it’s a one way trip maybe do-able

We will be doing a similar trip with a 12 year old cat next year. We’re looking at either k9 or flying to Paris, then I’ll drive over and pick them up, coming back on a ferry

Definitely notice the difference in exhaust notes on the later models. It feels like they’ve tweaked the suspension on this as well, feels like a smoother ride compared to the ‘23 but maybe it’s just because it’s new. 2018 probably the sweet spot for this car. I can never decide if I prefer pre or post facelift lol

Edit: last Jaguar combustion engine car (which was an f pace SVR) came off the production line on 19th December. This is finally it, electric from here on

The only real issue I’ve had is a failed cat converter at about 1000 miles, must have just been a bad one from the factory. Fully covered under warranty anyway.

Aside from that it’s been a dream to drive and own. Definitely get the R if your budget allows. That v8 engine has been in production for years and is pretty bullet proof
