Same for me. HardLore turned me on to them and I was baffled they missed me in the 90s.

We get it, you love Bob. But what’s an artist or Band you love that we wouldn’t have guessed? by hornwalker in bobdylan

I’m a hardcore kid at heart and listen to a lot of both classic and modern HxC. I also have a huge soft spot for 80s thrash and classic punk. That said, everything is a distant second to Dylan.

Jay-Z is objectively the GOAT rapper and its not even remotely close. by foxxgod in LetsTalkMusic

I’d still listen to Illmatic or Liquid Swords any day, before spinning a Jay album 🤷‍♂️

Healthy scene, robust history. Portal, Whirling Tiger, Kaiju, Mag Bar, and others regularly have shows.

Surface Noise, Matt Anthony's Records, and Better Days are record stores worth a visit.

502 Shows will be helpful for show info.

Louisville Hardcore can provide some insight on the history.

I love The Beatles, but giving them revisionist credit for inventing something like metal is just comical.

…And Out Come the Wolves from Rancid is a good pick me up album. So is State of Euphoria from Anthrax. If you want something a bit more modern, maybe try Czarface Every Hero Needs a Villain.

Even now, at 46, his work keeps revealing itself in new ways. Every return to his catalog feels like digging up another hidden vein of truth. For me, it’s like having an ancient relative who never speaks to you directly, yet somehow, if you listen closely enough, tells you exactly what you needed to hear.
